This is a wonderful reaction channel and you don’t need to change a thing! I have noticed across all the reaction channels I enjoy,that there are just some people (often diehard fans) who chime in quite often with their criticisms of how a reactor chooses to play their content. I come to these channels to see reactions to artists and to hear how other people feel about the performances so I expect there to be pauses! I am a 70 year old American lady who will never get to see Lara in person,but I feel EXTREMELY grateful to have a place to come to ;to share my love of her musical artistry,especially with reactors like,you who seem to share that same connection…soul to soul! Thank you for another heartfelt reaction,Alison! I hope you had a lovely walk!!❤️❤️

Hi dear Alison, I can see you can feel what I feel evert time I listen to Lara. She is a goddess. I cannot wait your reaction when you see Lara Fabien & Johnny Hallyday in Requiem pour un fou (English subtitles), Perderé l Amore(English lyrics translation), You are not from here, Je t aime..., and if you allow me, I can suggest you other songs, also beautiful ones like La difference. A big hug, Alison.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKLShGCBhLGJlZY Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5eaqZaDg5KHj6s Or you can check her recent excellent renditions: - in Zagreb, late april 2024 (italian) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zme6gHdodt2Hiq8si=pXrU2vQ1Lrca2PTs - In London, Royal Albert Hall, with Hauser playing cello, on May 9th 2024 (english): kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5y6oYKAiZmsb8ksi=WSoA4RXiw-TMmRNv

Yes, our angel Lara sings from her soul to ours, we are all feeling it, goose bumps, tears, imagine (if thats possible) her italian version of this song is even better, and now at 54yo she is releasing her new album next week, her looks is still sensationnal and her voice just as great with a mature touch in to it, the whole country of France (also Belgium and Québec) are waiting for it, me too... loll great reaction Alison.

No worries, great honest reaction to Lara. This performance was over 20 years ago and I have been listening to her all those years. Lara sings most all songs like this with what I call an emotion of tragedy at times. I appreciate your emotional reaction to her, you get it. So much of our recent culture has been about dehumanizing ourselves and each other, and taking pride in being selfish and callous. So when you discover an artist of this calibre it's like being given an antidote, that there is still some openness and honesty and artistry left in the world. And yes, it's indescribable to have been in a concert hall like I was this summer and to have that amazing voice right in front of you. I've never been hit by lightning, but picture that in a good way. I hope you get to experience seeing her live in concert. Powerful in the most tasteful, understated way, and she can make people get up and move as well as sit and weep. She is an all-round entertainer of the highest order, and has musicians and singers with her that elevate it to a whole other level. If you get the chance, do whatever you have to do to get wherever you need to go to see her.

Yes! Engaging the rusty heartstrings to vibrate once again is "a consummation devoutly to be wished". We can see why Lara and Dimash are fans of each other; Dimash since he was a child, and Lara since 2017. They both make us FEEL and bring out a deep empathy. Dimash sang a version of this (composed by Lara, of course) on the Chinese competition show for million-selling professionals, "I Am [a] Singer" in 2017, and Lara got in touch with him to tell him how much she enjoyed his version. The orchestra on this show is top notch and the live sound is just beautiful. (Contestants and the orchestra have a week to craft their tune and formalize and rehearse the arrangement, so it's cool to see what excellence is produced in that period of time.) Here's a link to the performance in case you might be interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5LUY2eFndB1iKcfeature=shared

This was from Lara's concert in Canada 1999, where she mostly lives today. Here, she was 29, and her voice has changed since then, still beautiful, Lara was born in Belgium in 1970, and the first time I heard Lara Fabian was in the EUROVISION 1988 as lead singer in a band, there was another singer representing Switzerland, her name was CELINE DION, who won with 1 point, Lara I think landed on 4th or 5th place, and I loved her voice then, it was a shame that she is one of the most under rated singers out there, for me I put her before Celine, it was just Celine had the best manager who looked after her, Lara speaks 5 languages and sings in many more, French being her first, and Italian being her second, her father being Belgium and her mother was Italian, you see that and hear the Italian emotion when she sings, especially ADAGGIO and CARUSO in Italian, it's a shame Lara didn't sing enough English songs like BROKEN VOW, watch CARUSO next it's just fantastic and emotional, and then her beautiful French songs, enjoy. I hope you are still interested in Morissette Amon. Here are a couple of songs from Mori, go Morissette SUPERWOMAN ( Raw ) 4.23 minutes, using sitzprobe@ KZbin, this is her first time on ASAP Birit Queens, her stage presence at 19, and her beautiful eyes and smile, don't stop, she joins, Angeline Quinto and Klarrisa and Jona, closing the show with a song, then from 2019 the song WHAT KIND OF FOOL AM I, use the 3.09 minute long version, again fantastic. ENJOY

Lara is an Italian-Belgian singer-songwriter and composer naturalized Canadian, this famous song with the music of the famous Italian violinist Tomaso Albinoni is sung by Lara in Italian and English all over the world 🌺
@Francesco71rm
@Francesco71rm Ай бұрын
This is not from T. ALBINONI is from an Italian musicologist, Remo Giazotto , written in 1958. At first in his biography Giazotto said that while writing this piece, he toke inspiration from some fragments of Albinoni incomplete opera (MI26) .. But those fragments were never found so in 1998 the composition was finally totally attributed to Giazotto.

She is the only singer in my lifetime that has made me cry and I am no spring ckicken. She recently released a new single Je t'ai Cherche and it immediately went to number 1 in France. One of her many songs, but this one is so Great. The best Female singer in the world; performer, artist, storyteller, writer, and beautiful soul. Just saw her perform here in Montreal, Canada last July 2024 at her World Tour. So lucky to have her in our life in real time!!!! She is the model for perfection as an entertainer; young talent need to understand the soul of her essence. Time will judge her as one of the best in our era! It's not cool to put Celine Dione in the same room as Lara; two completely different Artist. An interesting note; Celine was born here in Canada, in a small town just near the city of Montreal where Lara also live here in Montreal. Both singers received contracts from Song Records around the same time. One singer went to the Hollywood path and the other singer is one of the greatest Female singers in the world and still quite active in Europe. There is a unique history surrounding these two artist some of it is quit sad. Yet again, time and history will be the test of their greatness. love from Montreal, Canada please critique," Love by Grace" stunning piece of Art

There’s also another live version of “Je suis malade” (I know you’ve reacted to it once) live from Paris 2003 that’s on another level! Finally check out “Caruso” to hear Lara’s amazing Italian pronunciation & delivery, also from the “Lara with love” gig. ❤

G’day mate, your new Aussie fan here! This is, without doubt my fave song from Lara, closely followed by Broken Vow and Love by Grace. I think something that people who watch and listen to Lara don’t mention is the AMAZING orchestra’s. I LOVE the violin. And notice how many instruments are used; ie; violins, the chimes, I love it! I noticed the goosebumps as I got them too first time I heard this! 😊

The music of this piece is by Tomaso Albinoni a 17th century Italian musician born in Venice and is also attributed to Remo Giazotto who claimed to have "reconstructed" this Adagio based on a series of fragments by Tomaso Albinoni that were found in the rubble of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek (Saxon State Library) in Dresden; the modern arrangement and Italian words are by Lara Fabian and the English text by Bruce Roberts, Rick Allison and Dave Pickell. Absolutely beautiful and heartfelt reaction. Please continue to react to songs from this “From Lara With Love” event, then go on to other Lara live concerts. There's honestly nothing better out there - maybe as good, yes, but certainly not better, haha!

There's no difference. I mean, there's no difference for me no matter the time (more than 20 yrs ago)... I was in that same concert in Paris, and still can't remember much but the shock, soul-shaking, the "foggy view" because of my tears. And I am not afraid to confess it - I am a man, but the way Lara was and it still touching with her music and performance... Damn, it's sad and joyful at the same time, it makes me dream and believe, to fly even... no matter the pain and the anger. And it's still the same every time I am listening to her... Adagio, Je suis malade, Je taime, Caruso...

Hey Alison, this reaction makes me almost believe there are actual words that exist which describe the impact of Lara's voice and performance capabilities. I can't seem to come anywhere as close as you have in describing the impact she has on me when I hear her sing. Yet, I remain a believer that human words are simply not powerful enough... 🥰 I love watching you react - I always feel you so deeply. Hope you're well and thriving! xo
