Interview, part 3 of 5, Dark Shadows and Literature
MPI released a series of interviews as part of their launch of Dark Shadows on videotape and on DVD. I started watching these videos and was fascinated, especially learning behind the scenes information. I have used these interviews in a number of ways on the Dark Shadows channel.
There has been a lot of interest in these videos, especially the interviews with cast members. Lara Parker is an actor and an author of a number of books based on the Dark Shadows characters.

The dramatic tension between Angelique and Barnabas is exquisite. His dismissal of her is his most brutal act, IMO, and led him to the path of his centuries of inner turmoil. One should never trifle with the feelings of another, and while Angelique's actions may not be justified, they are certainly understandable. Both are sympathetic characters and together are great as star-crossed lovers.

“….romance is the yearning for something that you can never have….” that quote is pure genius and it both encapsulates and summarizes the human condition for quest and possession in this mortal life. This is a concept which needs to be instructed in school and home alike! Lara is most erudite in her thoughts and speech- real class that is lacking among the current crop of actresses and actors alike! Intelligence cannot be camouflaged or scripted.

The chemistry her and Frid had on screen i think may have came from their real life freindship. They were tight right up until his death
