@MajorRenegade agreed, I usually spend about $150 on boxes. I have gotten every premium tank and 3d skin every year except for the IS-3A the first year. I usually get around a years worth of premium and over 20k gold not to mention several million credits and finishing up the decorations faster. Your mileage may vary but that's what I have consistently gotten every year.

true, the amount of money you spend the boxes compared to the amount of stuff you get is insane. about 20k gold guaranteed, a shit ton of credits+ a decent premium tank(all of the tanks this year from the boxes are not bad). for all of this alone you'd have to pay about 2x the price individually, depending on how lucky you get

@@eniff2925 depends on how you look at it. 10 boxes will probably run you $15. If you buy 2500 gold it's $12.63. i would say it's impossible to not get $2.47 of value from opening 10 boxes. You might not get a T8 tank but if you need the gold its absolutely worth it.

you can expect that Harry Hopkins tank to have pretty unique firepower. it has the Little John adapter, which was a squeeze-bore modification for the 2lber. It worked by deforming the projectile down to a smaller diameter while accelerating it to high speeds, so it will have super good penetration, but if WG care even one iota about historical realism, it will not have HE shells because the adapter precluded their use.

So let me get this straight, the M46 Patton is a tier IX medium tank, and then the improved version of its successor the M47, is a tier lower at tier VIII, the same tier as M26 Pershing, which is the tank that preceded both, so three generations down the line. This makes perfect sense.

for the M47: IRL this is not spaced aromor and it is not aviable for the M47. However it is based off of real kits developed for its successors. The kit this tank uses is either a) based off of a German applique armor set developed for the M48, to keep it in service during the mid 1990s (at least that is what was supposed to happen, it never went anywhere). This would be composite aromor AFAIK or b) based off of an American upgrade package for the M60, where it basically works like ERA (from kind of the same timeframe as in a)). Eitehr way: it's an increadibly modern (compareatively) package, considering we don't even have a standard Patton 2 in the game...

@@realbadcorps not really, the RISE is just a standard M60A1 turret (I really hate that WoT only has the standard one. An M60A1 would have been better because it would have been more unique compared to the M48A5) with ERA on top of it. This however is (if we compare it to an M60) based off of the M60AX (AKA the Super M60 or Super 60) wich is a different, later development of the tank, that pusued basically the same goal as the RISE but with an improvement of the turretarmor as well.

It's on a different tank but the aesthetic of a tank covered in spaced protection (For the M60A1 it's ERA, but because WG is too lazy or smart enough to know they can't balance ERA) remains largely the same. Isn't your maths off regarding how many boxes are required to get a specific or all of the tier 8 tanks? 16:10 shows that if you already have a tier 8 tank, you can still recieve it from a box, but it will be converted to gold. This means even if you have all but one of the tanks and you're aiming to get it, having all the other tanks doesn't make you statistically more likely to recieve it than someone who doesn't already have any of them.

I think it means 200 boxes total. You're guaranteed 4 VIII+ premium tanks (or their price tag in gold) which should be equivalent to roughly ~150 US$. Given that you will get a bunch of gold, credits, low tier premiums, skins, etc. from the remaining boxes that should roughly make up the rest of the price of the package. Paying 250 US$ for only 50 boxes would be a complete ripoff.

​@@sigmamalegrindset132In my opinion this will be a frustrating tank for both sides, you have terrible dpm, long focus time, poor accuracy and low penetration on AP, HESH is pretty ok but 225mm sometimes may not be enough, this tank will also meet 10 tiers. The armour is great, about 360mm effective on the turret and no weakspots, if you are a fan of the steel wall then you might like this tank, but for some great performance I wouldn't count on it. The Skoda T56 is a real beast that could be a 9 tier, you can do almost 1000 damage in 3.5s.

I realise I'm fortunate to do that. I do always give away some boxes to friends, who I know can't afford to buy them, as Christmas presents. I think the loot boxes are pretty good. I'm not too thrilled that they put in vehicles that we've already had the chance to get. For example, the M3 Light, AMBT, and Vipera. I never cared for the AMBT and Vipera personally, because they don't sound like they'd fit my playstyle. I've had the M3 Light for a long time, since 2014 I think. It was a good light tank, with decent mobility. Used to have a lot of fun with it back on the old Pearl River. Other than the not so new tanks, everything else looks good. Excited for them and the tank reviews! Will we see tank reviews of the new Tier 4 and 5s?

The French Light Tank, it breaks up stalemates, its not really a spotter. It is going to be popular amongst initiative oriented players where using the natural lethargy of most players in battle can be broken up with sudden assassination hits on enemy flanks and turn enemy heads so as split enemy attention causing them to expose there flanks when trying to counter it. But that requires team mates willing to follow up such a maneuver and that alone takes initiative.

I suggest sticking to lower tiers to learn the game first before trying tier VIII and up. With 44% win rate the highest tier you should be playing right now is tier V. At higher tiers you're going to have a really bad time + put your team at a disadvantage on every game you join.

I give WG a lot of credit for at least being more upfront about the gambling nature of the loot boxes. It's not a possibly never ending saga of buying boxes and being disappointed over and over. The 'guarantee' mechanic is a good feature, and at least telling us the chances, as small as they may be, at least allows players to make a more informed decision about whether it's worth it or not for them to spend their hard earned money. On that front... good job WG for being more transparent. What I'd really like to see is something that can be done for 3d styles for vehicles I already have. I have the previous S Conq camo (as well as STRV 103B, FV4005 Galahad, etc.) so now I have a nice 3d style that will just collect dust unless I change them out every so often. So it might be cool if I could take the previous STRV 103B style and maybe put it on another Swedish TD (or Swedish tank in general). Maybe take the FV4005 style and throw it on my Conway or something. Just so I don't sit there w/ useless 3d camo styles I'll never use. Some of the low tier prem tanks will just collect dust but honestly that's ok with me and I never sell them. I appreciate the idea from WG and there's probably thousands of players who enjoy the low tiers who will get plenty of use out of them so I take the tank, even if I have zero intention of playing it, with a smile and say thank you WG.

So.. all 5 (high tier) prems = 250 boxes Gets you a minimum of 62.500 Gold And assuming you'd get all styles with that as well.. 55000 K Gold = €180,94 + (max purchasable at once) 7500 K Gold = €27,43 = €208,37 just for the gold. Assuming the premiums are €45,- (on average) x5 = €225,- + €208,37 = €433,37 minimum worth with 250 boxes = €1,73348 minimum worth per box. Depending on box prices, and with the "discount" for multiple boxes at once, this might be a very good deal indeed.. Except... I don't have €433,37 to spare.. Maybe €50,- Oh well... F

all last box events, i brought at first 11 Boxes and get 2 Tier 8 Tanks!! then i brought 50 and get nothing!! but overall i was very lucky!
