Large Camping Stove For Winter 2023 | First Burn | Kni-Co Alaskan Camp Stove
In this episode of The Lonely Path, I perform the first burn on my new Kni-Co Hot Tent Camping Stove for the 2023 Winter season. Though this specific stove has been on the market for almost a decade, it's new to my arsenal of camping tools. A larger stove was necessary in order to properly heat my 13 Foot WhiteDuck Bell Tent. This stove is truly LARGE, with the capacity to hold lots of firewood. Hope you all enjoy the video and as always, THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!

Some cheap Walmart things might help with your stove. The $8 box of Duraflame Fatwood is great fire starter. A cheap can of stove paint will deal with the surface rust you will see in a while, it works perfectly. Also a generic can of olive oil or canola oil to spray inside the stove between seasons as rust prevention. A cheap barbecue grill brush to take care of the creosote buildup in your stove pipe.

Its an awesome stove. If you need one that breaks down, they have the Tundra model, its also bigger than my version.

I always go back to your videos. I was just getting into backpacking when I first saw your video. It was a refreshing coincidence seeing your videos recommended, another African American who's into the outdoors. I even got a one-press Grayl after seeing your videos. You're still inspirational and I hope you're doing good.

Greatly appreciate your kind words. I've been well, as I pray the same for you. Went camping this weekend but didnt film for a full video. Im looking into doing a Colorado trip to fish for brown trout, so that will be a full vid. Thanks for reaching out my friend. Take care!

I’m super impressed! How BOLD and brave of you to bring it out fresh out of the box out… With no experience I’m assuming… I have been looking into these stoves for a while…. Any suggestions recommendation tips or tricks??

Thank you Ashley. Exactly, I've had no prior experience with this stove. A fellow bushcrafter recommended it to me a few months back. It put off a lot of heat, so Im really looking forward to seeing how it performs in my bell tent. What do you plan on combining it with, setup wise? I can better advise if I knew the size setup and space needed in your vehicle when trasnporting. Overall, Im very impressed with the stove. Just need to make sure its completely dry before packing away, as these are prone to rusting.

I appreciate you giving me the heads up regarding this brand. Cost a fraction of the folding stoves. I'll take the extra space if it means being warm. and YES.... its almost like the never-ending handkerchief in a magic trick haha. Thanks again for recommending this stove brother. Hope all is well. Cheers!

When the paper keep pulling and pulling... and, pulling, I thought of Santa's bottomless bag! Nice cook stove, I like the space it provides. The others are too small. Lots of great options for when I'm ready to upgrade for longer trips now that I'm retired. Blessings and thanks, as always!
