Welp….that’s genius. We don’t have kids, but we do own a restaurant that we both work in 16 hr days. Keeping track of business, household, gardening is something I’m failing at. This may be the answer. Bless you for this video 😂

I am a planner enthusiast also. I am retired and don't have any children at home and we live in town, but I still have things that I need to keep organized. I am a writer and find that my planner helps me keep up with everything thing that comes along with that. And like you, I find that stickers make it more fun & useful. I don’t think “bribing” (within reason) is wrong. We call them rewards. I think if it helps create good habits, it’s a fine idea. Everyone should do what works for their family.

We don’t have children at home anymore and I won’t go back to in store shopping either. I find it saves me money as well by not walking past things that I would use but don’t have an immediate need for. I’m a paper planner girl too! I’ll throw notes into my phone as a reminder but it’s the planner that is the most helpful. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.

Planners are wonderful - I use the Bullet Journal - buy any type of journal you want - they have video's and a blog. Your planner system works great for you. We each live such different lifestyles - each to their own. You are really put together well - with so many children you have to stay organized - it is a skill of its own. Let alone farming , home schooling - I'm exhausted just thinking about it. LOL

I'm glad you found a planner that works for you. I chose the Happy Planner a few years ago and that's what works for me. I love being able to take the pages out easily if I need to. They also have notebooks with blank paper that I can write anything on and add it to where I need it. I've used the vertical, horizontal and dashboard layout. I use the dashboard for daily things that need done. I used horizontal layout for my Bible time. I write things down from my devotions that spoke to me and have a place to keep my running prayer list. I love adding stickers to my planner. It's my quiet time to decorate and plan. This year I made some pages for my pantry inventory and right now they are in the notebook but I will add a section to my planner and add it into it after the inventory has been completed. I have made sheets for meal planning where I made a list of chicken recipes, beef recipes, etc. and I go through them when I plan my meals for the week. I hope your family has a very Merry Christmas and that you enjoy your time together as a family!

Love that planner. I have lists everywhere,, then I misplace them. I agree that you do what works to get your children to read. I am 76 and I still love to read. I know that it is because even in the summers Mom and Dad would bribe us to read everyday. That is when I developed a love for books. Love your videos

We are a family of 7 and the curbside pickup has been a blessing to us too. Even my favorite restaurants have started it. We don't eat out but we do sometimes do pickup and not having to bring 5kids in with me to pick up the food has been nice.

I so agree with not having to go into grocery stores. I am retired so no kids but living in a remote area I find it a little overwhelming to go into big grocery stores. Besides I actually save money by not going in and buying a whole mess of things that weren’t even on my list. Great video Jessica

I’ve always had to write things down to remember them . I took copious notes in school and college because something about actually writing helps me remember. Just the way I learn I guess. And at 65 I still use planners . Rewarding children appropriately helps them make the association between responsibility and results . It will benefit them in the long run .

I really wish I would have started planning sooner, but now that I'm using a planning system that has helped me reduce overwhelm, I'll never go back. PS I never want to go back to shopping in the grocery store either. I started doing grocery pick-up when I had my fourth child and to save time since we have to travel quite a ways to even get to the store. Game changer.

I just started watching your videos about a month ago. You're family is so beautiful! I have been trying to come up with a system that can organize everything in our house. We aren't homesteaders (although that's my dream). I try to make as much as I can for my 2 boys that's natural and healthy. This video was very helpful. Wish I had used a planner back when my 6 children were little. I just used a monthly calendar to mark important dates, and when I started to homeschool. just used my head and notes everywhere. Not an ideal system. Now that the children are grown and out of the house I find I still need a planner. Thank you for the ideas and have a wonderful Christmas!

I don't have a big family, but I have a huge issue with people. People are rude and sometimes scary. I've hated public shopping my entire life. My mom used to drag me out every year for school shopping. Most girls would love a new wardrobe, but I didn't want to go to the big city shopping mall and walk through all the people. Try on all the clothes and as a kid, feel lost in a jungle of adults. Nope, I'll stay home and shop for things that I don't need to see or touch before I buy them. Season Blessings 💚💚🌞🌞

Great video! I have no kids at home, but I could use a planner like this....former teacher in me, I guess! When I take the time to do a weekly meal plan, life is so much simpler for me. I teach piano lessons and have those lessons down on my calendar. They seem to change a lot. One of the things I noticed was your beautiful, neat handwriting. Bless you and your family.

I love to use stickers in my planner! I also use highlighters to help me color block my time. My kids are older now ( 19 & 16), with only one at home, so I can plan more down to the minute. I love the Passion Planner system because the layout works best for me & the covers are beautiful. However I must be honest I only buy them when they are on sale lol. I have it marked down when to purchase lol.

In the past I’ve tried using bullet journals and other planners to keep organized but I haven’t had any success sticking to them. I think I might try this one out. My schedule isn’t as busy as yours since I have an almost 4 year old, almost 2 year old and a baby due in March. But my daughter likes a very structured routine and likes doing “school”. So I need to organize my meals and chores better to be able to do more activities and school with them!
