Attach some tardigrades to the leap frog and have the leap frog as the mining base. It can fly out and then detach the tardigrades which mine and return the resources until the leapfrog is full. Then the tardigrades re-attach to the leapfrog and the leapfrog can transport them all back. You could also attach the super tardigrade to it and have it haul them out to the resources.

1 tip for the Mining Rigs used to drill holes: ive found that by starting with some pistons pointing up at full extension, you can build off from those and get additional depth from reversing them back to the closed positions while the down pistons extend

I do the same thing. Pistons are less expensive per meter than conveyors are for item conveyance, too, so it saves on the initial cost of the build when components are limited.

I'm almost certain you're right about how the solar script works; that's also a better way for it to work. While it can take a bit more to figure out the alignment initially, when it does you can get better results, and that allows it to be completely design-agnostic. I'm pretty sure the reason that one panel didn't point at the sun directly there is because of the shadow on it - if it were to have rotated further, that shadow would have covered more panels, so the position was probably the ideal medium between good alignment and good shade clearance.

You don't need a sorting script, you just need drain all on the sorter, and remove the collect all on the connectors and on you moon base a sorter, set to drain all as well, it migh not be instant since the sorters move items in cunks but it will drain the Mining base of the ore when connected ^^

Sugestion for timelapses, you could make a drone ship, place the cam account inside and program it in such way that the cam account is always aiming at the build area as it circles it. I can think of two alternatives, vectoring the drone so it keeps the orientation to the build area, or a "camera turret" built with swivels, rotors, the in game camera and floodlights. This second option might easier to keep steady, as I think you can "lock on" to a beacon or other marker, maybe even the player. Depending on what you want to timelapse, both orbiting and static shots would be available with a drone like this. Give it as large enough fuel/battery capacity as possible, AND set a timer/alarm to remind you when should the drone return for fuel. Posible solution for heavy gravity planets, a rover instead of a drone. (Idea from someone who does not play this game so it will need drone designing and testing)

You may want to turn down your connector strength in the future to like less than 1%. It takes a bit more to get connected, but at 100% the connecter will snap so hard that it can obliterate anything near by it, including the ship.

My take on how to set up ore piping to the cargo ship; Don't configure the connectors to "collect all". Set the sorter to whitelist "* Ore" as you have, but also turn on "Drain all" in that same sorter. This will look for ore in all accessible inventories on one side of the sorter and attempt to move them to the other side of the sorter. It will fill the inventories it runs into in succession, so it should initially fill the connector, then the connected connector, then the cargo containers in the ship and ultimately all the other containers in your ship. I do this with all my cargo ships and it works perfectly. I do the reverse for emptying/depositing the ore. Just make sure there's a buffer on the recieving end or your cargo ship won't properly empty its containers when depositing.

My recomendation for the leapfrog is to simply put a sortier before a designated cargo cont. and say collect all uranium ore. Then simply put the sortier on the hotbar to turn on or off when you retur to your main base to avoid taking raw ore from your refs. Simple solution and no scripts.

I thought I might be able to help improve drilling big pits with pistons for next time you guys. I seen it in another yt video a couple of years ago. If you want more pistons but don't have the room to place them, try putting them like sort of a snake pattern. Say you had space to set up 4 pistons and a drill but you need 8 pistons or 12 pistons to reach the depth required, then build the pistons in a snake like pattern. So 4 pistons then 2 blocks to connect 4 more pistons going back towards the first 4 pistons. Now you have the range of 8 pistons in the space of 4 piston stretch.add another 2 blocks then you can snake them back away from the pistons giving you the range of 12 pistons, still in the space of 4 pistons. I hope this makes sense 😂

Here's a little bit of knowledge for you. You can decrease the strength of the magnetic force for the connectors. This makes it so that your craft doesn't flick every time you put 2 connectors close to each others. I am pretty sure that the connector with the lower locking strength has priority, but I haven't checked in a while

Instead of using Groups for blueprinted ships, try using Timer Blocks with the Trigger Now command. I'm pretty sure those retain their connections, and would recover from being destroyed and rebuilt using projections.

That's odd, normally groups should be included in the BP. Even cargo items are in the file... Have you saved a new BP after modifying the groups and reapplied the BP to the repair projector? Keep in mind you have to do that two times in a row to update the repair projector BP to include it self 🤷‍♂

Each attack could easily wipe out our progress and costs a small fortune in resources to repair. SE doesn't really have 'survival' mechanics other than resource management, so you can think of our stockpile like the base's healthbar, and it is LOW

I use the shuttle mode of PAM to transport hydrogen from a base I setup on the ice fields on the moon, back to my base. I have one of your tardigrades ferrying ice to the Ice base which produces and stores all the hydrogen. I then have a seperate hydrogen shuttle that runs on ION only engines which comes in and picks up hydrogen and delivers it back home. just has a couple of timer blocks on it to turn stockpile on and off. The shuttle mode works really well.

Build and repair has a blacklist and a whitelist it basically sets out which items it can and cannot pick up so if you wanted to set up an ejector for stone you can tell it to ignore that ore, Ive still got a couple of episodes to catch up on so if you've figured this out please forgive me.

Also the solar tracker option on the turret controller works well, but only with a single azimuth and elevation rotor (you don't really need more) and it doesn't provide feedback on the solar panels, but it is less heavy on the server.

So you switched to advanced rotors, but yet you didn't add farms to your panel in the end. I'm wondering why, but you'll slowly build oxygen anyway. Also, the custom turret controller does work much better than Isy's script for solar panels as long as you include a camera for reference, but Isy does make some really cool scripts! :)
