Thank You bro!!! for such a simplistic view of tuning carbs for both HSN and LSN needles and the effects of what it would sound like. You even risked damaging your engine. Ive been all over youtube and although ive seen tuning videos none give you the straight no nonsense info. THANKS AGAIN!!! saved me a lot of trouble.

Great video, and I’m definitely going to start calling H/L needles “noodles” 😂

poopdogsays Hi, I just tried tuning my 32cc Redcat and ran into a bit of an issue. The LSN behaved as expected, but the HSN seemed to have close to no effect. I even richen it about 1/2 turn (starting from the 1 1/2 default) and almost nothing changed in the way the high works. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I sold all my rc's but the one motorcycle. Dave has most of them so I get to drive them still... I invested in my pt, motorcycle and have 13 instruments now, a new guitar coming and a mandocello kit being put together for me to build. I'll get another 1 day, just not sure what. probably an fg on road though

Yues, but I prefer the DDM 9500 spring. I tried the 8k on my FG Marder and it didn't stall high enough for my tastes. Good Luck.

I was asked to make a tuning vid by one of the guys on the Rampage forum, so I did. I try to help when I can. I'm pretty sure the new Chrome side dick is going to make a vast improvement!

Hello, I understand this is an old post, but I hope you or somebody else can tell me if it matters which needle is tuned first. coming from nitro engines, the high was always done first because it will directly affect the low setting. need to know if the carbs are the same? thank you for the great demonstrations
@Poopdogsays9 жыл бұрын
Tune the LS so It will stay running, then tune the hs. The ls affects the hs tune however (opposite of a nitro) the hs does not affect the ls. Make sense? Opposite of a nitro.

they go pretty well in stock form but once you have that pipe off dino , the fun starts.4wd is always better with extra poke. btw great tuning video, guys new to the hobby can watch tuning videos but still cant tune, but becvause youre showing lean and rich settings, they at least know what to hear out for. cool.

What is the problem when you have to run the high side like 3 1/2 turns out? It runs fine just wondering why so far out on the high side?

Was you turning the high speed needle counter close wise?? Im getting sputtering at top end..

You have to admit your fg rips compared to that mate 30.5cc too it doesnt scream like fgs. I hear sometimes yhe throttle level isnt being pulled all the way open but I doubt that would escape you. My fg is a 26cc and pretty livly like your monster but bajas and others seem slow especially on take off. Im not hating tho iv subbed look 4ward to many more helpful vids tbnx.

Yeah these things stock are pretty weak, my M/T would smack the shit out of it, but after I put a pipe on it... This thing (now) kicks the shit out of both of my Fg's around a track. If you check the latest vid I put up on my channel it shows what these things can do with a proper pipe. Check it out.

I thumbed down....because the type of carb wasn't mentioned first in the vid, and the needles wasn't zeroed to show about the turns when one has trouble to factory setting to adjusting to personal settings

My RC keeps starting and running nice but once warmed up idles crazy high and I can’t lower its rpm and it keeps starting but then running crazy lean and revs to the point it dies

When it leans out like that loosen the gas cap. I bet it hisses. Alot of the chinese cars dont have vented gas caps. You can run the car with the cap slightly loose or install a vent in the tank. I have a video in my rc car tuning vids called "so you bought a redcat and now it doesnt run" that will walk you through the process of making it right!

@Poopdogsays3 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? I have 6- 1/5 and 1/6 scale cars dating all the way back to my Fg's from 1995... Theres only 3 good large-scale carb tuning vids on yt and 2 of them are mine. If you want to stick with electric, then by all means do so, but dont come to this channel and talk shit about an 8 year old video and try to tell me what to do! If I've misunderstood you, then my apologies, but if not, welll...
