@@edwarddrost5299 stop with virtue signaling, only like 1% of aquarium fish are wild caught, most of them are bred on farms in Singapore and other Asian countries and shipped all over the world. Also, true hobbyist works on breeding the fish and keeping the species alive, their habitats are being destroyed and most of them will go extinct in nature.

Heiko, fish and highway legend. I've seen his books in libraries, (online) fish stores and talked about on forums. But I always wonder if they are still valid today and aren't outdated, since some of them are already quite old. On the other hand it seems like Heiko knows more about breeding fish and aquatic biotopes then any freshwater forum that I've ever come across.

Pet shanti had a great selection from southeast Asian fish to southern American sadly they were bought out by ocean gallery here in new Jersey in scotch planes and the coolest part I got to see a Aeropaema and red tail amazonian catfish up close

I love the huge fish variety in my country. This facility holds the Orinoco and Rio Negro varieties, but from pacific Basin they are some endemic beauties that will water your mouth. Sadly marine fish are not regulated (not to say they are forbidden). Sad because Colombia has access both to Atlantic and Pacific ocean, so the potential is huge in the sea as well. All my respect to Heiko bleher who is responsible for discover many of the species they hold in the facility.
