What if I think he's just the best basketball player and I don't put white in front of it?

That left hand game he finished with 47 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists in 49 minutes in a 120-119 victory in overtime. He was something else. He was exciting to watch. You need to watch Larry bird greatest passer re edit

The next part of the 3 pt. Shootout is even funnier. After winning the first 3 contests, Bird didn't participate the next year due to injury. Craig Hodges from Chicago won it that year. Hodges was asked by a reporter after the win if Bird's absence was the reason for the win. Hodges said, "Larry Bird knows where to find me." Bird's response was SAVAGE. "Yeah, down at the end of Chicago's bench." 😂

This is what people get wrong. Its not the skillset. The mentality makes a winner. Take 2 talented players. MJ and LBJ. One of them doesn't have "it"

LBJ thinks he can coast. The *BEST* don't.
@sharonsimmons642715 күн бұрын
@@cindyknudson2715No, he never coasted. You’ve never seen him play a full game, if you think that. I watched him when he actually played. He played every position. He went wherever he was needed. He only left the game when he knew he’d done enough damage.
@sharonsimmons642715 күн бұрын
@@cindyknudson2715MJ hung on his shorts when he didn’t have the ball. He had to have the ball to effect the game. Larry was more dangerous the moment he got rid of the ball. He made steals, assists, and rebounds in high numbers. That’s the “it” factor.
@1982jeepcj89 күн бұрын
@sharonsimmons6427 Larry walked out of a game in the third quarter. One steal shy of a quadruple double because he had done enough damage and getting accolades of a quadruple double was beneath him. I think Larry told the other team what he was going to score before the game started.

Larry Bird's nickname says a lot....."KODAK" meaning he knew not just where every single person was but Where They Were Going Tp Be!!!". That helps explain his "Blind Behind His Head Passes to Teammates". Out.

@@lilqui5 Yes, he was able to pass to where his teammate was Going To Be because "Kodak's Brain" had already analyzed the current positions and forecasted their future placements. That Brain Camera is why his nickname was "Kodak" to the Celtics.

Bird was SAVAGE. Just watched a video of his childhood... The fact that he even went to the NBA is amazing.. cause he so didn't like the spotlight .. He's just a Hick from French Lick.. the world stage was intimidating to him at a young age. He learned how to deal with it as he matured but he's not that guy that wanted to be the superstar. He just wanted to play basketball.

Larry was the last player to win back to back to back MVPs a feat only done by Wilt and Bill Russel. From 79-88 he never finished lower than 4th for MVP and that was his rookie year! It goes as follows 4th,2nd,2nd,2nd,1st,1st,1st,3rd,2nd. In that span, he received 67% of all MVP votes. He took a 29-win team his rookie year and with the addition of just himself, they then won 61 games. He led the Cs to a championship in his 2nd year in the NBA. He was the founder of the 50 40 90 club and was voted the player of the decade in a league with the Dream Team and MJ in it.. He pioneered the dagger 3 and loved to tell you where he was going to shoot it and there was nothing you could do about it. In Larrys 13 years, the team never had a losing month in any lineup he was in winning .744% of his games. MJ credits Larry with teaching him how to talk trash as well. Larry is in MJ and Kobe's list of top 5 players of all time as well as many others. You can find hundreds of videos and stories on the KZbin on Larry....For those of you who don't know they call him "Legend" for a reason

@adamdavis276012 күн бұрын
@@lilqui5 Yup he is...there are a lot of "greats" in NBA history but few legends. They are those guys who come into the league born with the killer instinct, that wants to take that shot when it's all on the line and can do it all. I think the term GOAT is overused....This is no disrespect to anyone but the 2 best players I have ever seen was MJ and Larry...You can find stories and clips of game-defining moments from both of them in the highest-pressure situations

Don’t need to mention race. Magic is my favorite player but I watched NBA since 80. By the ‘eye’ test MJ & Bird are 1a & 1b. No other player has done anything like the ‘left handed game’ scored 27 in 3 qtrs. The other team knew & didn’t want to lose so Bird had to play straight up in 4th. Had 20 points in a quarter plus game winner. WTF

I *believe* you when you said that you would have spazzed out. I *don't believe* that you are particularly knowledgeable and discerning about basketball tho since you are primarily concerned with haircuts and skin tone and insulting how people look. You don’t seem to have a clue as to the players mentioned or speaking. You appear to be dismissive of everyone involved and what they are actually trying to communicate and you seem to have no curiosity to learn. Was this just a clickbait "Bird video" to collect some "old-head" views for your algorithm? But, yeah, I watched and listened to the end. Why? I guess because I hoped that you'd get passed tossing out condescension and insults and focus on the stories and skills and such at some point. I was mistaken. Oh, well.
