Omg. My mum and dad got tickets to the south bank studios to see this actual show. They spoke of the Texan with the whip (who did a further lasoo scene but it was edited out) as it was hysterically funny when Nigel Pegram placed the balloon between Larry's legs. In an outtake, Larry quipped "that could have ruined my Christmas". I'm so glad to have found it. If you listen before the show ends, as Larry wraps it up, the audience are already shouting "more!" and you can hear the huge reception at the end - everyone was truly entertained. I'm a huge fan of Larry, thanks for posting this, my mum met him once and said he was truly a lovely bloke, with time for everyone. One of the greats. We wont see his like again. Thanks for posting

A great bit of social history from a superb entertainer. I recall him in the 70s, I was about 7 or 8 in 75, my father hated any camp behaviour, and would not watch him, the rest of us loved his saucy humour.

also can know hes a very loving , warm person. see how he must touch the person next to him when he speaks. I noticed rod stewart on michael parkinson or some interview doing the same. i like rod stewart...down to earth....

the class of these comedians of gone by days...Theyre so professional even when theyre implying 'something'yet its so well done. Larry Grayson was an ace in this. the other one was frankie howerd

iseeolly I’m going to Nuneaton in sept for a week to visit certain places .as Larry would say “ no not those places” lol . He was one of our national treasures we were so spoilt 🥰🥰

Fantastic, I love Larry Grayson! Can't wait to see the new ITV3 documentary on Sunday. Yippee! It's great to think that Larry' will be on the telly again after all these years ... And so nice that he's still so fondly remembered and appreciated... He was such a talent, and finally seems to be getting to recognition he deserves...about time too! For me it's not the main innuendo punchlines with him but the bits in between. He just talks and talks and it's nonsense! It's really great. It didn't really matter what he would say it's the way he said it all the time....it just verges on the ridiculous and is so hilarious.

Good old Larry. He wasn't much of an actor, but so entertaining. A schoolfriend of mine in the 80s was on his way back from holiday with his family when the family car got a puncture. A blue rolls royce pulled up and the driver got out. He asked if they needed help He offered to drive my friend's dad to the local pub to call for help. He got in the car, and there was Larry Grayson! He said what a friendly and generous guy he was. My mum and dad also saw him perform at a local pub in Gloucester, and Larry spent time after the show talking to people and enjoying a drink.

A classical episode! I grew up in Apartheid South Africa so we never saw Larry thanks to sanctions (America was less severe: lots of their TV was sent to South Africa back then. I adored Carol Burnett, but Larry Grayson would have given her a run for her money). Many thanks

Those stairs at the start of the show are a trip hazard. No handrail, big drops on each side, flashing to make you disorientated and smoke to hide the next step - what could possibly go wrong.

I well remember seeing Mr G at the old Cresta Club in Solihull, way, way back in 1972. At the time I thought he was really funny and, just the next year, he hit the big time and the rest is history. RIP Laz!! ("He calls me Laz! I could smash him!!)
