Every time a Republican becomes President he ends his term with an economic disaster. Just go down the list back to Hoover. I was trying to figure out what sector would cause a crash this time. Trump's hardly popular. Obama had far high favorability numbers when first elected. In fact, Obama's numbers didn't drop to Trump's current 'honeymoon' levels of 46% until halfway through his first term. Regardless, if the tariff-induced economic crash happens, Trump's currently historically low favorability numbers will absolutely crater. The Dow has been on a record 10-day slide - have to back to Jimmy Carter's admin for next worst slide of 9 straight days. It's down 5% since he announced the North American tariff plan. After initial post-election hoopla and after he's actually outlined a fiscal policy position, U.S. investors are pissed.
