Comedy Central cancelling the Larry Wilmore Show was an awful idea. They've never covered that timeslot as well since. Larry had big shoes to fill after Colbert and did an amazing job. Comedy Central just didn't give him enough time. Had they kept him on throughout the trump shitshow he would have done amazing things with that show. The seeds were already there for any of us who were paying attention to how well he was lambasting trump at the time.

I didn’t know who the guest was but this is such a great episode. Two people being genuinely real with each other and can talk about pretty much anything. This is what is normal and I feel sorry for all the people that don’t know how to talk on this level. It breaks my heart, and I wish you all the best. You know what they say, “with age comes wisdom.” I hope these young people will get to experience that some day. Open dialogue is definitely one of the hallmarks of reaching maturity. People trying to adhere to taboos, don’t realize how lost they really are. I promise you, anyone I have ever talked to, with a sound mind says the same thing. People really don’t realize this is how most level headed people get along. This culture war you might think is going on is dumb. Don’t let people convince you that we are against each other. Because we came from different backgrounds, that makes us different is a trap. These two obviously get it. Do yourself a favor and pay attention to your elders, the ones that have poise. Stay out of the stupid culture wars, save your energy! I really love watching two people who don’t buy into absolutely any of that. Life’s tuff, get over it. Be a part of the solution by being kind to all beings!

My aim is to convert all to Balanced Political and Economic Individualism. You must balance government and business in order to extract maximum benefit for the individual. Fore when you talk about the Historically Black Americans, you are speaking of the American Experience. Not from the perspective of government support, but of the perspective of those who the government actively fought against. Balance has been missing in all facets of American life. It takes understanding those whom have been here before and whom have aided in the building of the Republic to truly understand what the American Experience is without lies and deception.

@joncamp9126 agree with most of all u just said, but that last few lines is something if u got don't let others fck with it, if you're treating PPL the way u would like to be treated yourself, well you're doing something right and u will see the envy on other peoples mind and continue to kill them with kindness and take the unwanted step and ignore them, but don't let them take ur energy because someone will always need that God willing 💚🦋

I could relate when Larry Wilmore said around the 40-minute mark, "I live in the world of aspiration, not desperation". I would like to think that most Americans feel that way. If politicians remembered that mantra, I think they would start platforming their campaigns around issues that are important to most people...quality education for their kids, improved healthcare (especially reproductive healthcare), economic advances (including job creation), immigration reform, laws around gun safety, etc. Those issues are important to people of all ethnic groups.
@benwu7980
@benwu7980 Ай бұрын
Agreed, politicians get away with too much grandstanding and then too much of the media let them hide behind smoke and mirrors. There are a lot of policies in what you mention where the parties are just so far apart on, especially if are in a media bubble hearing the extremes. Immigration reform is a prime example of how the system (doesn't) works right now. The GOP introduced HR2, or the 'Secure the Border Act of 2023', which had all but 2 of their congresspeople vote for it, and all the Dems voting against it (with a couple not voting). Then the Senate does bipartisan work on the Border Act, which had most of what had been in HR2, except some things like restarting the building of the Wall. They voted twice on it, getting 43-50 on first , and then a 50-49 after concessions. Notably, i think there were 4 from either party / caucus that switched sides. Pretty much anything now in the Senate needs 60 votes to pass, which is a little terrible for getting anything useful done. Even moreso when many of the GOP that have said it was a good bill, voted against it because Trump wanted immigration to remain an issue to campaign for November on. That is some messed up way to govern.

One thing about the BEATLES in the U.S. pre 1964, they already were gigantic in the U.k and Europe but CAPITOL their American record company were dumb enough not to release the records or if they did they were not promoted . In fact their first album over here was “Introducing the Beatles” released on VEEJAY records, which was actually essentially a Black R&B label. Im 35.... I feel so smart listening to Bill. I hope this is a normal trend. It's scary to think young people might watch this and think Bill is wise or informed. These political hard liners only understand propaganda, they can't imagine maybe both sides are wrong and right on different issues and it takes a non political binary perspective to find the deep truths in all things. Strippers are righteous because they have been around for a while.... Funny the same argument is made for things they disagree with. Regulating procreation because life is so sacred we should stop young people from fornicating because the social cost of unwanted children is such a moral quandary maybe we should stop these people from fucking.... Same logic.... Strippers are fine, and respecting life is also fine. I wonder how many kids bill killed in the name of new age political theory while advocating strippers deserve respect because of historical precident....?

Larry has the tones of the different Beatles exactly right, but the accent is hard to do, it needs to be a bit more 'sing - song' for Paul, especially. It will sound too silly, but it's not! The great Peter Serafinowicz (also from Liverpool) does brilliant impressions of them and really funny skits - check out 'Paul Mccartney - I'll kill' and 'Ringo remembers Christmas 1979'!
