I just discovered this guy today, in 2020, at the ripe age of 42. I’ll take this VHS recording over 99% of the albums released over the last 20 years or more.

As a teenager I always would sneak and listen to my oldest brother albums and Buddy miles Down By The River was one of my favorite. I just heard this piece All along the Watchtower last year and it's a great jam. Thanks to my oldest brother for getting me hooked on this good music. RIP Big Brother.

I had the honor of interviewing Buddy a year before he passed.. He was playing at The Caboose here in Mpls.. his manager said i could have 15 -20 min. with him.. I started the interview with the question.. How ya doing? from there i sat back and we talked for a solid 1 hour.. hahahaha we covered his early years.. otis redding.. Buddy Miles Express.. his time with Hendrix..Santana..and all of his musical endevours.. his manager came in to cut the interview short about five times and he shood him away.. it was so cool... we then saw him play and rock the house that evening.. Prince dropped by after the show.. sat with him.. WHAT A NIGHT MEETING AND TALKING WITH THE MAJOR INFLUENCE ON MY DRUMMING STYLE.. he even cut a funny funky promo for the show i had at that time.. We talked thru email after that a few more times.. and he loved the final version of the interview.. What a classy funky wonderful human being... i miss my friend and drumming and singing HERO

I filmed BUDDY MILES EXPRESS when they performed a free concert in NYC at the now defunct as a concert venue SOUTH STREET SEAPORT in the '80s. I have the show on a DVD and it's 2 hours...I don't know how to upload to KZbin but will send a copy to anyone who'll upload it on my behalf...any takers??

I just don't know what to do anymore. When you have dreams that are so real and you see and speak with random people, then you have dreams that you know are your brain biologically "AI hallucinating", it becomes complicated. I always retire to things or events that I know are pure. Watching musicians or an athletes "zone in" is comforting. Seeing someone else experiencing "the zone" and knowing that you have PERSONALLY spoken with a neurologist and physicist studying it is rewarding. This is magic. You can see it happening.

"How did he or she know that was going to happen and why did they react that way?". After a certain point, you get tired of being subjected to the 'run around' and you just react and let the support personnel do their thing. With musicians and athletes, you can just relax and let it all happen.

Wow, Miles and his band get FUNKY and also the guitarist plays an upside-down lefty guitar much like Hendrix did with a right-handed one. All Along the Watchtower would have been a great performance, except Buddy's mic needed to be turned up, or the band needed to come down in volume!
