Black Panther is the first black superhero in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Not the first black superhero from a Marvel film. I'm surprised that some people was either unaware or has been avoiding earlier black superheroes such as 'Blade' (played by Wesley Snipes) and Spawn (played by Michael Jai White).

@@aimeechapman5780 For me I think it's guilt for not appreciating him as an actor and a man (honestly didn't know he was so philanthropic and God-minded). I SLEPT on this dude and he was worth every minute of attention. Then, as I look at interviews I see him getting skinnier and skinnier, and I feel bad I didn't see it before (not that I could have helped outside of prayers). AND it's such a strong reminder that death knows no age. He was diagnosed at 39 and I'm only 5 years from that. Couldn't imagine being told I have stage 3 cancer and mere years to live. All that combined with the fact that not a single negative thing has been said (and you know if it was there it would come out), and I'm just messed up. I hope it encourages me to have a life well-lived STARTING NOW.

This was such a great interview with Chadwick and Larry. I find myself enjoying his interviews. Chadwick did so much press for Black Panther when he should have been home resting. I had a family member with cancer so the treatment and chemo are exhausting and makes you very weak. He was a true warrior and a phenomenal talent. His smile brighten up the whole room. His pain and cancer struggle was private and his decision but I hope he knew just how much he was loved. His gift and legacy will always be remembered. Praying for his family and friends. With all due respect, please take your negativity elsewhere. Why did you even bother to watch?? He is a very talented, versatile and passionate Actor. He IS BEAUTIFUL on the inside and on the outside. He embodies BLACK EXCELLENCE so people like you viciously target people like him, attempting to discredit their accomplishments for ONE REASON ONLY: you are hell-bent on perpetuating the (throw-back to the dark ages) notion that only white people have exceptional gifts and talents, and that only white people deserve the accolades of the masses. WRONG. Chadwick Boseman emanates a regal presence and a power that you guys must be afraid of. And he is just one among BILLIONS... Oh and you know what else?? We don't need your approval or validation, we don't need your affirmations, and we don't need you to hold our hands to "guide" us to success. We have ALWAYS had the innate ability to soar and to succeed, but we all know WHO has hampered our precious GOD-given identities for centuries, while using our broken bodies to build this Nation. Our identities have prevailed through the hell of hells. NOBODY can strip that from us. I don't know who you are, but your avatar suggests that you might be white?? So in MY opinion, you're pretty much speaking from the vantage point of "white male privilege," which basically means you are incapable of seeing or appreciating what is ACTUALLY TRUE about "others" who don't "look like you." What is actually true is that ALL "others" are made in the magnificent image of GOD, just like white folks. NOTHING about us is "LESS" than you, period. Every time I see comments like yours and they're attached to pictures/avatars of white folks, I say to myself "here we go again," these are "those" people who seem to have a mass mission in life to target and to tear down "others," particularly black people; especially the ones who demonstrate extraordinary gifts and talents that many of you white folks think are exclusively reserved for "you." There's this insidious nature lurking inside some of you folks that literally seems to THRIVE on bulldozing "everybody else," while you beat your chests like pissed off gorillas who are asserting their "dominance" and their "territory." (And I don't mean that all white people are like this. Many are and many are not). So please, get over yourself. If you can't, then STAY OUT OF THESE THREADS ABOUT THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF BLACK PEOPLE. Problem solved. You don't have to look at us and we don't have to be subjected to your vile venom, even if it's "subtle." And by the way, your insecurities are on full display when you attempt to slight a strong, confident, and powerful Black Man. And like I said, there are billions of them, so get over it. And regarding your assessment of his looks, you are SO WAY OFF BASE. Mr. Boseman's smile alone is KILLER. He is gorgeous in mind, body and spirit. Take notes dude!! Oh wait, maybe you're incapable of seeing beauty in "others." Now here's the bottomline: he is a human being first, so why don't you consider how despicable it is to degrade someone you don't even know. If you don't see his true value then PLEASE move along. And again, please grow up!!! These actors are people just like us who are trying to make a living. How would you feel if you poured your life into your work and some jerk (a*sshole) who doesn't even know you maligns you and your hard work that they know NOTHING about. Ok, so I'm done venting. I'm actually sorry if I offended you, but asinine comments 😡 like yours just really grate on my nerves to no end, so I'm almost always compelled to respond... If I was completely wrong about you and your motives for making those comments then I sincerely apologize). Blessings to you Sir 🙂
