WOW! Many on AI could 'sing' Rock, but Durbin IS a ROCKER! It is a part of him and one can feel it when he sings. He's the real deal. I almost cried when he pulled out the Priest!

This is the music of my generation and unfortunately it's been replaced with today's monotone, dark and droning excuses for melody. I'm thankful to get to watch what will hopefully be the beginning of a great career for James, but I can't help but be a little sad that he wasn't around in the 80's when this kind of music was what was hot. His voice was MADE for rock/metal. Could this voice single-handedly bring back melodic rock? I sure hope so! BTW, no pressure James... :)

@mulhulla This was the only season of AI I watched, and I agree there are some voting politics that don't make sense. I knew Scotty would win from the start, he has a maturity of phrasing beyond his years. Also, consider, James is singing to the MINORITY of AI fan base...I was just pumped to see a guy bust out Judas Priest on TV. He should have been top 3 for sure tho.
