This song gets me everytime .... I went to rehab 2 days after my son was born , battled to turn my life around so my children would have the father I never did. drugs affect so many more people then just the user . I first herd this song at a year clean and all I could picture was this song from my children's perspective. My father wasn't around because of drugs , ive been clean for 5 years now .

@runnin_rich26 I have been sober since February 2016 and a year later my girlfriend was pregnant with our first child. 8 years of running in circles and wishing I would die and now my beautiful little girl reminds me of how glad I am the wish for death didn't come true. This song is heartbreaking and I'm glad no one has to sing it for me.

Everybody left him in the studio alone and he just sat and talked to her and that's what they put in the last part. He has said in more recent interviews that he has more grace and understanding for her now, and the pain that she must have been dealing with. She quit for a short time after she heard his music, but then relapsed and that's when she overdosed. That's the most common time because your tolerance goes down but if you relapse you tend to take the same dose that you did before and your body can't handle it. His wife just gave birth to their firstborn, a son named Beckham John Feuerstein (pronounced "FIRE-stine"), in August. I have a great idea for your Days of Christmas! Nate co-produces all of his beats with his best friend Tommee Profitt, who has many accolades to his name. He's done movies, commercials, video games, etc. Last year he put out what he called a Cinematic Christmas album and it is really beautiful! Here is a link to that playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PL3GYT8iGZtTU5Gyzw1bvn_AXqso605myc

the line "I've got a picture in my room and it kills me cause I don't need a picture of my mom i need the real thing" whilst not about my mom, always gets me cause I have a picture of my dog on my desk, and after losing him I just feel lost, I grew up with just my mom who worked 80 hour weeks just to make sure I wasn't needing for anything and while I know why she did it, what I needed was her, my dog was the constant in that, moving countries 4 times, losing my friends over and over again, he was the only thing that stayed the same while my life was turbulent and after losing him, I have lost that. I'm lost in a sea of unknown situations and uncomfortable times, and the one thing I need more than ever is my rock. I know its dumb, but I just miss my dog man, he was my brother, my family, everything. and it feels like a part of me can never heal from losing him.

Wow … okay I wasn’t even going to comment initially because, well, you (Chris) will probably never even see it … but by the end of this reaction I just couldn’t resist!!! I was looking for new reactions to NF (that’s what most of us do while we wait for new music and after new music drops - we love watching people discover this musical genius) anyhow, I found your reaction to Story and it was amazing!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it, so I decided to scroll through your videos to see if you checked out anything else and I see this one. At first I was thinking “this shouldn’t be the next one” … but as I watched I changed my opinion. This was perfect and your reaction was priceless!! Before I got through your entire reaction I paused a couple of times … 1. To see if you have reacted to anything else … and 2. To read through some comments real quick. I was disappointed with what I discovered for #1 … but pleasantly surprised with what I discovered for #2!!!!! You replied to a comment about having videos already planned for the next couple of weeks, but that after Christmas you would definitely be checking out more NF!!! I was so happy to read that!!! So I proceeded to finish watching this reaction, which was pure gold by the way (I couldn’t remember if I already told you how much I enjoyed your reaction) and when it was over you said a couple of things that, when I heard you say it, I knew you were locked in (and actually could have saved me some comment research 🤷♀️). The first thing you said … you called him “Nate” haha I literally laughed a little when I heard that. And that is perfectly fine that you called him by his name, as opposed to calling him NF!!!! It’s just that when reactor’s actually start calling him by his name, they are on board and understand the “realness” in Nate. So I was happy to hear that!!! Then you went on, just talking, and you mentioned that he has “layers” of depth!!! I almost dropped my phone!!!! Typically, reactors don’t start talking about him like that so soon, but the best part is going to be when you actually hear is song “Layers”!!!!!! So, to wrap up this mini novel, you have a new Sub 🙋♀️ and I cannot wait until after Christmas to see your next reaction to our guy!!!!!!! Welcome to the family!!!!! This is gonna be great!!!!! Oh, sorry, most people will tell you to start at the beginning … and that is really how you should take the Journey … but … you already started with a song from his latest release (which is fine) then a song off his 2nd album (which is also fine) so I’m gonna just throw my .02 cents in here … the reason for starting at the beginning is because Nate tells you his story through his music … and connects a lot of his songs and videos. In earlier songs he mentions things to come … and in some of his later songs he mentions things from past songs. He leaves little hints (or we like to call them Easter Eggs) in his videos … which are all more like movies (as you have already discovered). He is an incredibly talented young man and I honestly cannot wait to see more from you!!!! And, lastly, I am with the “older” group in this family … so don’t think that you wouldn’t fit in!!! We are all inclusive here!!! Haha This is gonna be fun!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!! 💞 🖤🗝🛒☁️ P.S. - Albums: Mansion Therapy Session Perception The Search Clouds - The Mixtape I think you should take the Journey, but I truly believe that you would really enjoy songs that are not “on the list” … so my advice is just listen to each album in order. Yes, that’s a lot of songs … but I’m telling you, I just think you would get a better appreciation for his music by listening to everything 🤷♀️ … okay, I do believe I’ve said more than enough now 🤦♀️😂 See you on the next one!!! 🖤

Thanks so much, Sheila! I'm so glad you enjoyed the reaction! Yes, you can count on my diving head-long into "Nate's" content! I will have to balance his content out with other artists, but I am excited to hear more. I can't believe he was able to hook me on one song. Incredible. Not to mention, his song that I reacted to "How could you leave us"... Come on! How in the world has this incredible artist escaped me for this long? This is a lesson for me in prejudice. I've never really liked rap, and now I can't wait to hear more. The bummer is having to wait to hear more as I don't want to jump in without all of you included... So, needless to say, stay tuned for more! BTW, Eminem is on the roster... One of my reactions was just "unblocked" but has little traffic due to a glitch in KZbin. If you're came, you can find it here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnjSpX-HbcRnaKs Have a wonderful day! BTW, I do try to read all comments but as the channel grows, my ability to reply to each one diminishes Just know that I'll be reading each one. You'll know it when I give the comment a thumbs up 😉

Every time I listen to this song it reminds me of my friend that passed in January 2021. He died from alcohol and had 2 boys younger than my kids. I just passed 2 years sober and when I think of picking up a drink I think of him and his boys, then my kids😔 I miss my brother and having dealt with alcohol, longer and in a higher capacity than he did, I’m GRATEFUL that I made the decison to stop. Great reaction by the way 😁

NF is one of the greatest arts to take difficult topics or emotions that society ignores like mental health and well being and gives his experiences, thoughts and prayers through the lens of a man walking in faith and authenticity. His music is therapy for me as I’m a man in my mid 30’s who often feels very isolated even amongst my fellow Christians. I haven’t dealt with any drug use myself or with family but I feel NF’s lyrics and the expression of pain and sorrow in such a visceral way in his writing. Apparently, that last part he kicked everyone out of the studio and was simply crying and talking to his mom, releasing that pain out as well as some anger for sure too. I do know that he has grown from this song and doesn’t view his mom in the same way with the anger but sorrow leaves us with the choice of forgiveness or bitterness and that’s sometimes more of a messy road than we’d like to admit. I admire Nate’s honesty and relate to his blunt expressions of where he’s at in life as his music is a diary of how he feels and what he’s going through. God has used his music to speak life into people like me and others, it’s definitely encouraging to know that someone else goes through moments of life grieving or in deep sorrow, there’s often more comfort in that kind of company and it’s allowed me to really value and acknowledge my own pain as well as seeing Jesus in a way that allows me to not only share in His joys but also His sorrows. I believe it’s helped me become someone who views others with a great deal of empathy because my desire is that everyone would know that they’re not alone in what they’re going through and people love them and can direct them to a God that will heal but to get there requires being true to yourself and being authentic in whatever your life is like in the present. Sorry for my long comment, I just really appreciate and love seeing people experience NF’s music because I know how powerful it is. Your reaction was really great and I think the more you listen to his other songs, the more you’ll see the impact he has and continues to grow inside the hip hop industry that is dying for something that’s meaningful in the overarching message that industry tends to lean toward. NF is in his own lane but his convictions to be himself added with incredible production and his talents and hard work are breaking down walls to conversations and emotions that we should talk about more because we’re all human and not meant to live life alone. I’m excited to see more reactions from you channel and hello also from Orange County, I saw in your reaction to Story that you’re living around here too. God bless you and your family sir and thanks for posting a genuinely interesting reaction. This is great content.

Many people will recommend going on the NF Journey. These are songs from his albums that connect in some way (lyrically or visually). It’s an unfolding of his story as he lets you into his life. Most will say to do the entire Search album when you get to it. So, if you want, follow this list, and you’ll be well on your way. Songs from the Mansion album: - Intro (video) - Mansion - All I Have (video) - Wake Up (video) - Note Pad (video) Songs from the Therapy Session album: - Intro 2 (video) - Therapy Session (video) - I Just Wanna Know (video) - How Could You Leave Us (video) - Real (video) - Oh Lord - Grindin’ ft. Marty (video) Single between albums: - Warm Up (video, it’s a subtle visual and hard to see, but his arm tattoo at the end is a piece of the puzzle for the end of a later video) Songs from the Perception album: - Outro (video - yes, this is first) - Intro 3 (remember the song Mansion) - Outcast (video) - Green Lights (video) - Let You Down (video) Single between albums: - No Name (video) - Why (video) Songs from The Search album: - The Search (video) - Leave Me Alone (video) - Change - My Stress - Nate - Time (video) - Returns - When I Grow Up (video) - Only - Let Me Go - Interlude (do with Hate Myself) - Hate Myself (do with Interlude) - I Miss the Days - No Excuses - Like This - Options - Why (you would have already done this) - Thinking - Trauma The entire Search album will lead to a negative article from Rolling Stone which leads to the next single: - Paid My Dues (video) You can do Clouds the Mixtape, if you’d like. There is for sure one song that belongs on the journey (besides Paid My Dues mentioned above): - Lost (video) I hope this helps!

Glad you checked NF out! Great Reactions from you - enjoyed it alot. I would love so see a reaction to NF - Mansion, NF - Remember This or NF - All i have in the future somewhen - for me together with this song and the song "The Search" from him it made my picture of NF as one of the strongest lyricists of our time and a person with a real clear mindset of how things go with himself and the world we live in. His music helps tons of people to recognize their emotions, to get them into words, struggle and tactics to manage them and get going + get the hang of the idea that you are not alone with it and theres always a way to get back up again - if you keep on believing in something - for him - god.

I stumbled across your channel by accident. First experience was Eninem - When Im Gone. You mentioned a reaction to NF; just finished watching your reaction to Story. Quite honestly, it’s a good feeling to see you go from a slightly mocking tone at the beginning of Story, simply because you were unfamiliar. Remember, I saw you cry to Eminem before that. I appreciate how quickly you accepted and expressed that humble feeling, knowing that you cast judgement on something you didn’t understand. I mean that with the most respect, as well. It’s amazing how even taking a chance on a new kind of music can teach someone a different kind of compassion, and empathy. We tell our stories in different ways, no right or wrong way, just different. I also respect that you’re man enough to cry in front of the world. People get so caught up in their feelings that they forget people have emotions. Like many others have said, don’t apologize… music and art are meant to spark emotion; the same words, same message, same sound can elicit an array of emotional responses. Keep showing people it’s okay to feel them.

This hits very close to home.. as a younger brother, I have watched my older brother grow up as an addict to pills. And just recently lasted year, it has gotten super bad, him having severe highs/episodes causing him to run around the house cluelessly, seizures, etc.. and just remebering the night that it was just me and him and he had an episode and I try to do my best watching him about to die.. I’m just glad we were finally able to get him to agree to go a rehab center and he’s been doing better. I’m just hoping that he can get better.

Genuine reaction... this song though... Went to bed one day about 5 years ago with KZbin music on. Woke up and this song was playing. 1st song I had heard by NF. Listened for a bit and tears started rolling down my cheeks. My brothers and I went through the same thing. Our Mom had drug and mental issues. As an adult now I can see more of my Mom's side and I wish she had a little more help and a little more strength. I love her regardless though and I miss her everyday. As a person who grew up in the Foster care system I can tell you it's a miserable time for every kid... Just to have the feeling in the back of your mind that you're not good enough to keep your parents around and thinking there's something wrong with you is a terrible feeling. Wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone. If anybody who reads this is going through drug addiction and/or mental issues, I believe in you... You can pull through... And to any kid going through the system just remember one thing... ITS NOT YOUR FAULT.... It’s crazy to think that he sat with that instrumental on and just cried and talked to himself on the mic for like 15 mins straight. And used to listen to this song by himself on his phone in his bathroom on repeat. 😞 NF is legit one of the most powerful lyricists without profanity that I’ve ever heard. 🤞

I’m not normally the type to cry about much but hearing you say that you hope he can find peace and move on from this made me start tearing up just because I know how much progress he’s made. I mean ge has a wife and a kid now, he’s made it in life and I’m not talking about his career. So happy for him and I love your analysis on songs like these. Thank you.

1st of all I just to continuing saying I am so appreciative of your son have you reacted to songs. I only know a couple of artists in different genres, but with your reaction videos it’s giving me light on so many artists that I never knew about. I now know why you say NF is just like Eminem because with this song and I just watch story reaction and Joyner Lucas reaction and all I can say is keep up the great work, you are doing a great job. We all that watch your videos really love it.

Take the NF journey. Someone here will have the list. It's so worth it. It's like a positive rap audio story book of sorts filled with real emotion fear, anger, hurt, jealousy etc

Nate is unreal. The two songs that you've reacted to are also just the tip of the iceberg. Both "Story" and "How Could You Leave Use" Are part of one big Story or "Journey." The progress that NF has made in terms of lyrical ability and personal progress is something to admire. Anyway, amazing reaction!!

I went through this with my mom at 9 and it's killed me inside ever since. Not a day goes by where I don't think about the call I got that day. It's been 19 years and feels like it was yesterday. This song is amazing but really crushed my heart when I first heard it. Me and my brothers only have our memories of her now and sometimes that just doesn't feel like enough. I love you mom.

What I love about NF is the power in his voice. It‘s like he‘s directly shouting at his mom. It‘s so pure. He is amazing

This song gets me everytime. I had twins prematurely and they fit in my hands. I felt them take their last breath and go cold. I jumped to drugs and alcohol ONLY to be numb and in hoping that they would take my life. I overdosed 2x and I felt so ANGRY at the time. I was hit with Narcan and brought back. I had a checkup at the doctor and found out I was pregnant with my daughter. 3 months in. I told myself my twins gave me this beautiful gift and something to love for. My twins were born September 29. My survivor was born September 13th. Twins were due on Valentines Day and my son was born February 17th. It doesn’t just feel to me it was a coincidence. My girls in Heaven gave me those wonderful gifts. I will never turn to drugs again. I will NEVER let my children see me high. This hits me on another level for me.

this gives me goosebumps every time I hear it my father (may he rest in peace) when I was around 10 years old was heavy into alcohol woke me and my brothers up drunk and gave us a stern talking to. while he was talking to us in the middle of the night at some point he had grabbed his 22 Rifle and put the barrel of the gun in his mouth my brothers and I got him to take it out and it wasn't long after that incident that we were taken from him and he went somewhere to get sobered up my father had 7 years going on 8 of sobriety before he passed from sepsis after an accident he was in, in 2004 , but what happened that night has stuck with me

@@larryshair I'm ok with it now, but that was easily the scariest moment in my life thus far, plus after he sobered up he was always keeping tabs on my brothers and me when he did and didn't have custody of us (a story for another day :D ),.

Didn't think I could ever watch this one again, but I wanted to see your reaction to NF. Beautiful as always. He's a rapper, but he can sing too. He has a beautifully sad song, "Trauma" that I thnk you would appreciate. I have a feeling you will be doing more NF reactions...at least I hope so :) "Mansion" is a great song too. Everything he does is insanely good, and rooted in his childhood.

Good morning Larry and first off I'll say welcome to the NF journey lol. I really enjoyed your reaction to story and to this one as well. I am a 45-year-old father and grandfather but personally when I was younger absolutely loved hip hop and rap music. I was born in Michigan but raised in Missouri and for whatever reason I just always gravitated towards it. However I used to idolize people like Dr Dre Tupac all of the old original people in the forefront of hip Hop. I am now and have been a Christian man for a very long time so even though I can still appreciate to a degree what hip hop was for me when I was younger today I simply feel differently about it. I came across NF over 7 or 8 years ago now and oddly enough I found him as a person singing the hook on another hip hop Christian artist that I used to listen to who goes by the name "Flame". The song is called Start over.. If you get a chance to react to that one I think you would really like it and even if you don't do a reaction to it you should listen to it on your own. When I first heard that obviously I loved the message of the song and I just thought NF was a really good singer LOL. But after looking him up a little further and finding a song called Note Pad I realized he was a hip hop artist and so began the journey. I understand you don't like hip hop music and honestly if you decide to go back to the beginning of this journey and listen from the song "Intro 1" going forward I think you would really appreciate a large majority of it. He is such a unique and amazing person and artist. One of the reasons well I should say the majority of the reason I really gravitate to his music is because every ounce of it comes from a real place. He touches on a lot of mental health issues that a lot of people go through and even though a lot of critics consider his music sometimes to be dark and dreary the truth is he's speaking to a large majority of what a lot of youth in this generation go through due to the lack of good positive solid foundational relationships. And I just find that absolutely amazing. He really has become my favorite artist. Anyhow just wanted to say I really enjoy watching your reactions to his music because LOL to be honest watching how you're reacting to these songs is exactly how I reacted to them initially lol! Take care.. God bless :-)
