@@MsAngiek Possibly the best ever. I saw the remnants of the Lisbon Lions in the early to late 70s and they had paled, though Bobby Lennox was still sharp. For what seemed a very long time we toiled. Tommy B made enquiries about the King, didn't go anywhere. Vim brought Henrik out of the doldrums and Henrik brought Celtic out too. A perfect match and for the league, a perfect storm. Best player to grace the Scottish scene for decades - still the best to this day. Jimmy Johnstone had tied up his boots by the mid 70s so I didn't see him, that is why Henrik is my best ever Celt. The best professional player to grace to Scottish game.

When Larsson was at celtic, the scottish league was way stronger than it is today today. Larsson choose to stay at Celtic for saven years even though Fergie wanted to bring hem to United many times during those years. Henrik Larsson has a world cup bronze with Sweden in 1994, European Golden Boot in 2001, EL final with Celtic in 2003, scored two goals in the final but lost to Mourinho’s Porto 2-3, That same Porto won the CL the year after. Champions league winner with Barca in 2006 against Arsenal and was the major factor that they won the final with two great assists. Henry said “forget about Ronaldinho and Etò, Larsson was the proper player tonight” after the final. Ronaldinho said that Larsson was hes idol growing up. Larsson went to united at the age of 35 and Fergie said that Larsson was the only player he saw getting a standing ovation in the locker room. (At a time when United had Ronaldo, Schools, Rooney, Ferdinand.. in their prime) He is a truly underrated legend. Hail Hail

Loved this appreciation of Celtic and it's players,esp from an American who's has a very good knowledge of footballing skills (soccer) but you know we call it football or 'Fitbaw in Glasgow where Celtic are from. Loved by every celtic supporter man/woman /child he will always be a God to the green half of Glasgow Henrik had everything you want in a celtic player you saw how emotional he was after his last league game at Celtic Park like the 60,000 ppl in the stands not to mention the rest of us watching it on the TV (still I get a lump in my throat when I see it) he is the greatest foreign player to wear our beloved hoops though Lubo Moravcik comes closest to him after leaving celtic were he set up both Barcelona goals after coming on as a sub in the champions league final then went to Manchester Utd for 3 months Sir Alex Fergusson wanted him to stay but he promised Helsenborg he'd finish his career with them quite simply he is the king of kings hail hail the king

Our Henrik Larsson is world class he is lethal with either foot and deadly in the Air ,he taught Ronaldo how to hang in the Air for headers, he’s Celtic through and through one of us , money didn’t matter to him , what was important he was happy with the club he played for , he gave us seven sensational years before moving to Barcelona and assisted in the two goals against Arsenal in the champions league final, he was a true predator , unbelievable the best in the uk at the time and definitely in the top 5 in Europe 💚🍀🍀

Henrik was voted no2 in Celtics all time greatest players,Jimmy Johnstone(JINKY)was voted no1 and quite right too, he was a integral part of our greatest ever team when 11 local lads, (basically a greater Glasgow district side) won the European Cup for Celtic,no other team has done this,and it will probably never happen again but we did it and did it in style, true to our attacking philosophy.
