I've been saying this all year long, turnovers have been the major thing that has killed us. This game we only had 3 turnovers, and despite a few defensive lapses, we managed to keep fighting and playing hard to eventually get a win against a quality opponent. I wonder if we've found the point guard we need in Ari MacDonald? She's been doing well the last few games. Hopefully she's the one. Stephanie Talbot was the bomb last night, and Dearica Hamby was out there doing Dearica Hamby things, with Rickea Jackson showing that she was worth the high pick in the draft. Even if it may be too late to save this season (it's not too late though) if Cam Brink fully recovers from the torn ACL next year my Sparks could have something special going on for the next few years.

Most teams have at least 9 maybe 10 active participants, the Aces have 4, maybe 5. The offense is ran through A'ja, and other players score if possible. Nobody is in "Dog Mode" and willing to get grimey. Offense ia simple, everyone stand on the wing, and get the ball down low to A'ja. Three players in double digits, while Hamby has been doing what she wants against us all damn season. This shit is depressing!

LA plays up to the competition versus the Aces. they are one of the few teams that plays better when the Aces speed them up. if the Aces walked the ball up and down they'll win handily I believe simply through the discipline in their concepts.

As an Aces fan, This one stings bc LA just wanted it more and Becky was out coached. She stayed with the zone when she should’ve went man. You can see the confusion on the Aces players at certain point. Nevertheless, 🫡 to LA. Especially Hamby and Jackson. They won’t the game for them.

The big problem with the Aces this year is the defense, Kia Stokes, Alisha Clark don't help the team, how the young rookie Rickea takes an offensive rebound on them in OT. And in attack, they offer nothing. Stokes could at least be in the circle looking for offensive rebounds for the team. A'ja played her part but wasn't put in the right conditions in OT. Jacquie and KP aren't inconsistent this year, two games they shine, two games they become average players; after 19 games, I don't think the Aces can go for the three-peat, they can win next year but we'll really have to restructure the team and strengthen the defense in particular.

I say this same stuff, and people get in their feelings about it. I'm the Biggest Aces fan, but our defense do be trash. Stokes is camping on the wing when she should be in the paint, and players are inconsistent. It ain't over yet, but losses like this suck big time.
