As the others state, Great Job! No questions as you described the process clearly, and most folks that watch your channel will figure it out. Thanks!

Awesome! Thank you! These give you a pretty high bang for your buck and people love them, so there is an opportunity for some sales - especially to commercial customers.

You could try getting a new brain for the ray 5 they sell them

Too bad you weren't on our live stream last night. The Longer folks were there and you could have had an opportunity to corner them. However, join their Facebook group because there is a huge Longer community and also many Longer support people hang out there. Is the laser doing anything? If you are connected over UBS, you don't actually need the display, so maybe you can still use the laser until you get this fixed. Check the power adapter output to make sure it's got voltage (12V or 24V depending on the laser). With the power unplugged, check all the connections (unplug them and plug them back in). Look for cut or frayed wires. The Ray 5 is generally a rock solid laser, so failures are pretty uncommon.

Yes, the controller is available, but since it's the second most expensive component in the laser, try to rule out other things first. Bad connections, power, etc.

No co2 laser. What is used for the letters and template? And if using glass mirror I assume you put the film over the front of the glass mirror and engrave the back of the other mirror
@SteveMakesEverything4 күн бұрын
You can cut all of the wood pieces with a diode laser. You might be able to cut the letters if they are sufficiently dark, but you could always use block letters and cut them by hand. If you have a vinyl cutter, find some translucent white vinyl to use. The mirror is used in the back and isn't coated with film. If you flip a glass mirror face down, you can engrave the mirror coating off with a diode laser. If you use glass in the front of the box, put the film on the inside.

Will the mirror film cut with a diode laser?
@SteveMakesEverything4 күн бұрын
Probably, but I’m not sure what it’s made of and don’t know if it’s safe to cut.
