Lasko WindStorm Large Room 18 Inch Fan

9 out of 10. It blows much stronger than it looks like it might. I thought the remote was a gimmick but it's handy and snaps into place on the rear of the fan. The display on the front of the fan is dimmable. The height adjustments are 52", 43.5", and 34.5" from floor to the top of the fan grille. It's not telescopic but has a snap lock pole. There are 4 fan speed settings and a timer mode that can be set from 1 to 12 hours in 1 hour increments. It's advertised as having a blue plug with a fuse inside, much like some holiday lights.
The model number is S18654 and comes with a 2 year warranty.

Nothing today is made sturdy when fan companies actually cared about the products they produced, not just for looks like the fans are of today.Lasko once was a good company. I know I have vintage lasko and Galaxy fans from the late 70s to late 80s. Now, those were built to last.

I can't disagree with this. There are a few older ones for sale on eBay and I'm sure they work fantastic.

Some people in the comments are saying they've had issues with it, but that's not my experience. I recommend getting it from Costco as their return policy is great and they'll refund you if you don't like it. It pushes quite a lot of air and doesn't push itself over on the highest setting.

My daughter just brought one of these over. When we got it fired up it shows 87 on the display, is that the temperature in the room? (it is very hot today). I noticed yours said 54? Please tell me what that number means and how I can manipulate it if it’s not simply showing the room temperature. Thanks.

The temp was much cooler when I tested it initially and I suspect it was around the temp it was displaying. It's currently 82 where I am and the fan is saying 79, so it looks like it's a few degrees off. But yes, it displays the current room temperature. I didn't see in the manual where it actually stated this. Good question.

I've been hearing through the comments lately that people have been having various problems with these. If you have your receipt I recommend taking it back and exchanging it for a new one or getting your money back.

This fan is made with the cheapest plastic on earth and has zero durability. There's nothing sturdy about it.

I've found it tends to wobble slightly when running but that's about it. It's a decent option for people with little kids so it won't severely insure them if it falls over or they put their fingers into it. It is mostly plastic.

@@jacobreviewseverything Mine wobbles like crazy even though everything is tightened aligned and in place. That's really my biggest complaint about this fan.

@@randomtube8226 if it's been doing that since new then it's likely either misbuilt or the fan is weighted to one side. It shouldn't be on you to fix if. If you still have the receipt and it's within the advertised two years from purchase date then you should return it. If you don't have the receipt then where you bought it might let you swap it for another one. This one wobbles just a small amount but it's not really noticeable unless you stare closely at it.
