Last Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips restaurant celebrates 50 years in Cuyahoga Falls

Mike Polk Jr. recently ventured to Cuyahoga Falls, home of the very last Arthur Treacher's restaurant. The franchise was born in Columbus in 1969 and named after a popular British character actor of the time.
At one point, there were more than 800 Arthur Treacher's restaurants across the nation. Now, just one location remains. The summer marks the 50th year that Arthur Treacher's has been in business in Cuyahoga Falls. The city's mayor declared June 30 to be Arthur Treacher's Day.

Wow, I went through the area numerous times. I take that route when I head out west to see my friend and I checked it out. I literally drive through Akron and pass Arthur Treachers without knowing it. It's been decades (30years) since I was too one .

I wish I would have seen this video last year when I went out to Missouri. I will definitely stopping there on my way to Minnesota for Little House On The Prairie's 50 the Anniversary in July. But I might take a road trip sooner.

Best place to bad they left !! Like everything else good. Only 1 and that's now closed need to hire cleaner workers ! Also the crime in ohio don't help at allllllllll if people only knew while they sleep a group of criminals all ages rolling around wit armed guns stealing cars ready to shoot kill anyone! Sad how Ohio is folding!
