We take a look at some basic waggler fishing from plumbing up to shotting the float.Fishing with maggots on a cold day getting plenty of bites but will them bonus fish show up..This is one of our lost episodes that didnt get released when it was made..our next episode is waggler fishing on a more natural venue

Very good vid mate, learnt some good tips there particularly like the maggapolt one. Do you usually lay the line on the bottom ? also what line do you use and do you put anything on it to help it sink ? Thanks

reece matchthis Always Preston for me in the larger sizes mate. I also use MAP for my double 4 so their elastics are also worth a look

I use frenzee elastic for my dawia pole but I have a margin pole and I wanna put double 10 in it so I will probably put in preston solid elastic doubled up noe

HI, Great video and thank you. I just wondered what made you choose the position to fish in. Why not closer to the peg or further away? Does it make any difference once you have started to feed and if you were running a second rig would you ramdomly choose a different place? Sorry for the questions. Thanks again.

Down4First its was so we could cast out for video other wise we would use the pole..the fish we not playing ball but normally you get some good fish there .

There are a few factors to selecting a distance out to fish. In winter when the water is clear the fish tend to push out to the middle of the lake and away from the bankside disturbance. Also finding an area where the lakebed is flat is useful when fishing the waggler so that's something I'll look for also. You need to select a range that makes feeding by catapult comfortable and accurate also. The other thing I looks for is an area in the peg where the float is easily visible. As for a second line I would find another area that fits these criteria and decide on the day if that needs to be further out or closer in depending on conditions. Hope this answers your questions

Down4First If I think the fish are in range of the pole I will always use the pole for accuracy and the better presentation. When the fish are past that range then the waggler or feeder come into play
