at 5:20 that is called a bográcshely(a place where you can cook with your bogrács). There is a big cauldron-like stuff in which we cook, called bogrács. it is also approproate for szalonnasütés(bacon, sausage and vegetable grill) on a nyárs(a little spear like stuff) ^^

That was an outdoor cooking fireplace. In Hungary grilling burgers and dogs is not much of a thing the tripod is for slowcooked pot-food (the pot is called bogrács) and skewers are the way to go!

The place for the fire is not for warming up. :) People build a fire to roast bacon and cook goulash and fish soup. Or to make kürtőskalács. :) Mostly we do it in the summer when the weather is good. :)

Have a nice trip to Croatia. I don't know what your plan is, but if you can then visit Rijeka too, it was a Hungarian city a 100 years ago so you can find Hungarian monuments there too. Also don't miss Dubrovnik and Split. Adios amigos !
@FeatherandtheWind8 жыл бұрын
We didn't know about Rijeka. We'll have to look it up! Right now we are currently in Split so maybe Dubrovnik soon too. Thanks John Adios Amigo!

I will miss your hungarian vlogs a lot. Btw Wes did you tell us anything about your dad's reaction to the Miskolc video? Because if you did I completely missed it.
@FeatherandtheWind8 жыл бұрын
No I didn't say anything about it yet. Its kind of funny. I'll try and remember to bring it up in one of the next videos :) We'll be back to Hungary in no time though. Currently in the process of getting citizenship through my dad. And my sister has plans to go to Miskolc next year so hopefully we'll come back too

Come here in the summer! During the summer break I'm always drinking at the szépasszonyvölgy. You get drunk in the evening and sleep in the park during the day. Sometimes gipsy minstrels / street musicians appear there randomly, and start playing. Oh and you should visit Eger during the "street musicians festival" it's sooo awesome. Great video ;)

Thanks!! Sounds like it would be good fun in the summer! I think it's only a matter of time before we're back in Hungary :)

@FeatherandtheWind7 жыл бұрын
Thanks David! In Budapest it is pretty easy and most students/young adults speak English. Everyone is very helpful and in the smaller cities we were able to get by just fine with a bit of research before hand and some help from Google Translate ;)

Hey guys!! I hope you will go also to Rumania. It is very interesting and mysterious country, also quite unknown. I think, there are not many videos about it, it would be great to see it with you. I hope you will consider ;). Greetings from a Mexican living in Poland 😊!!

Wes's spontaneity and little, funny "mistakes" give the most charm to your videos. No need to correct him all the time, Fel :P
@sztrapesz6 жыл бұрын
Why we making a fire in summer? We cook the GULYÁSLEVES (Gulash Soup) there, or we use for baconroasting. We can make a lot of tasty foods there in our special bowl (bogrács). You can make on the oven (like in the restaurants), but it will never taste so perfectly. You can feel the smoke inside as well. You have to try the baconroasting (szalonnasütés) on a summer evening. It is gorgeous! And really big fun for the children!
