I'm going to miss the Japan Vlogs. These were very fun & we got to experience Japan without having to go there. Thanks for sharing with us Ken. You must have had a great time there.

That airport seems to be incredible! Here in the US we don't have things like that unless you have a ticket and have gone through security. I really love the part where you can chill and watch the planes taking off and landing on the deck.

That was an amazing trip! Loved every minute of it. But you’ll be back. Kobe, Osaka (Nara and Koyasan) and of course Kyoto are definitely worth visiting too, and also Fukuoka (streetfood) and Nagasaki. And up north Sendai (Tashirojima cat island) and Sapporo. Ok, now I want to go back!

I'm sure, back home taking a walk or going to the cottage is very relaxing. A Tim Horton's Double-Double too. Love Japan but I cherish larger spaces being 6'2". "There is no place like home"

You should have spent the last night out in Tokyo. One more walk around and a mug of beer before the flight home.

I don't get sick often, but just tend to have a few head & throat colds each year. I actually find it funny when I get laryngitis because I start to pretend I'm in a horror movie situation and I can't scream. So nice to be utterly silly at middle age or so...I keep wondering when I'm going to be more mature (or if it's just certain people who get serious and less capable of joy when they get older).

I see you took my suggestion about Google Transit. That made getting around Toronto easier.

I feel like Japan is way ahead in about everything compared to North America.
@brianevans6564 жыл бұрын
For one thing, Japan is 26 times smaller than Canada. Japan is almost entirely a homogeneous population, unlike most of North America, which is a continent and NOT a country. North America also includes Mexico and a few other smaller countries by the way.

what kind of camera does Ken have? I'm deciding on something like a go pro or a decent camera, but I don't need the top of the top. Anyone seeing this and has suggestions, feel free to leave a drop.

ken i have a few quick questions; 1) roughly how much was that hotel room at the airport? looked nicer and bigger than the others (nevermind you answered this in the next vlog.) 2) how do they know what size jammies to give you at these hotels? do they size you up, or is it just one size fits all? If one size fits all, it must be too small for a westerner, no?

On 7 May 1946, Ibuka was joined by Akio Morita to establish a company called Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo (東京通信工業, Tōkyō Tsūshin Kōgyō) (Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation). The company built Japan's first tape recorder, called the Type-G. In 1958, the company changed its name to "Sony".

You keep saying how expensive it is in Japan and yet the stores and restaurants are filled with Japanese people. Do Japanese people get paid more money than Westerners?
