I have for the past 12 years flown on this magnificent aircraft from my home of BGI to MAN around three times a year. This has to be one of the most iconic airliners ever produced, I will be sad to see it go. Long live the queen! XXXX

Sad to see these be retired early. Probably the best commercial aircaft ever built, ( and Concord ) nothing changed the aviation industry, the way the B747 did. Flown on them many times, most recently, and ironically, with Virgiin Altantic, to Orlando, back in december.

So glad I got to fly on their B747-400 in 2012. Flew from Gatwick to Las Vegas on G-VROY returned on G-VLIP

I've flown all of Virgin's 747s from BGI to LGW over the years; the last time being this past Christmas. We flew The Falcon. So so sad that this never going to happen again. Virgin is my absolute favourite airline. So hoping that they survive this.

I got to go on Pretty Woman in 2012 to Las Vegas from Gatwick and returned on Hot Lips. Made up for 2007 when going to Los Angeles there was a change from B747 400 to A340 600

I saw this beauty when it was departing from Glasgow on this very flight. Very emotional sight, knowing it was it’s last ever takeoff... it’s still such an incredible and powerful machine when you see it up close... Makes you sad knowing it’s going to either sit in storage or be scrapped 😭

Me too it flew over my house too. Loved flying on the 747s went on them many times between Manchester, Glasgow or Gatwick to MCO with my family.
