I think this video will always make me smile. You know I like the attention to detail and out-and-out heart you deliver to one of your biggest heroes. But I keep forgetting to tell you that one of the smaller things I like about this video is the size of that coffee cup - you could dive into it and do the video from inside!!! Seriously, though, great job Melina. Looking forward to the next one.

Melina, everything you said was so perfect and heartfelt and true [and you look so beautiful]!! Marlene is such a wonderful person and it's so amazing how you carry on her legacy & spread the love for Maria. You're a big reason why I started finding out more about Marlene and now she is one of my favorites! loved this ♡

Loving Marlene and then reading and enjoying Maria Riva's book is like feeling sorry for the Holocaust victims and at the same time enjoying Adolf Hitler's "Meine Kamps".💀

Isn't it fascinating how humans find a connection with each other even if spacetime tries to hide it?

have you been to Berlin? you have to! I have a book called Marlene in Berlin. it lists tons of addresses. visited most of them. I actually ended up at her elementary school, which address had changed (after the war they changed most Street names) .. but I found it in between a bunch of high rises and indentified it by the exact same window sills in the school picture. it was quite incredible. it's the school of which she mentioned the heavy gates.. I think in Maria's book. I also visited her grave... which was quite emotional. I left flowers and a poem in a frame, and the next day I found both items not at the foot of the grave (where I'd left them) but at the stone. yes... wow. I know. kudos for this video! btw I was 23 then. am 30 now. "discovered" her at 16.
