thanks for the update Rob, always appreciated. I use the original battery for weeks before needing to charge. Although I am only using as supplementary power for speedlight. I like the new one comes with usb charging. Godox always producing great new stuff.

I got this new battery about two months ago for a job as a backup battery. Everyone should have a backup. This though could become your main one and let the old one be your backup.

the PB960 pack is amazing, have had mine for a few years without issue BUT the cables come apart very easily so if you notice your flash doesn't recycle quick enough chances are the cable is knackered.... i'm on my third one!

my battery decided to die even though I rarely use it, Ive taken well over 1500 shots on my Nikon sb 910 without even one led going out. battery Is lightly inflated so I'll replace the internal cells

The built in USB is great, currently I use the seperate plug in USB charging cable which is very small so easy to loose :-)

There are two pieces, the top is the electronic circuitry controller and the bottom is the battery. My question is which will die first the circuitry controller or the battery. I've had the Quantum Turbo Compact Battery Pack that died on me and I replaced the battery. After replacing the battery and charging the battery pack, I got all four green lights on the Quantum Turbo Compact Battery Pack telling me that it is fully charged. However, after hooking up my speedlight on the Quantum Turbo Compact Battery Pack the first flash that I took caused all 4 green lights to turn "OFF". I turned "ON" the Quantum Turbo Compact Battery Pack again and the same thing happened again all four green lights came "ON" and all four green lights turned "OFF" after the first flash. This tells me the circuitry controller has gone bad on me and not the batteries. Replacing the battery is easy but fixing the circuitry controller is another issue on replacing or fixing.

Thanks! A few quick questions: Can I work this with a DC monolight, and by what sync cord? Does this battery have memory charge, so that it has to be totally emptied before recharge? Now you know I'm an older guy trying to catch up with modern gear!

X1-T, XT32, XPro, and upcoming X2T triggers are all compatible. Streaklight fits in a Bowens S bracket which allows you to mount any Bowens modifier to it. There are additionally modifiers by Godox specifically designed to attach to the barebulb head.

I just bought the FP Flash Point BP960. I charged it until the charger light went green. But I notice that the LED lights on the battery shows two green and one red. Is the red led supposed to go green? i have seen a video where the charging port on the battery can be used to power a dummy battery to the camera.

+Cilla Latte no matter what they market it as, it's still an LED. It's flash is just a short duration of its LED power. So it is nowhere near as powerful as a real flash. I'm hoping to get my hands on one soon to show people.

+Az Photo Video it's nowhere near the same light output and I wouldn't consider it for a second as a flash replacement. 1) it gets 85,000 full power "flashes" off 6 AA batteries. That alone tells us it's not very powerful. 2) it's 9 foot ISO 100 rating is f2...lol. That is also at 4110K where all of its bicolor bulbs are on. Expect a much more useful 5500K to be around f/1.4. that's a paltry guide number of 15. An Ad200 meters over GN80. That's 5 stops difference. Or to put it plainly, it would take over 30 NEO II's to match the output of an AD200.

great video! i like godox products and recently bought their pb960 power pack. question: when one uses godox speedlights with the godox pb960 pack, there is no need for other batteries to power the speedlight? when i use my nikon speedlight with the godox pb960, i still need to install batteries to the nikon speedlight for the speedlight electronics. when using godox speedlight and the godox pb960, do you need to install batteries in the speedlight or can you use power from the godox pb960?

not sure, I haven't used the AA speedlights since early 2016 when the V860II (which can't be used with the PB960) came out. I'm assuming you'll still need batteries inside the TT600 / TT685.

Nice review, question: if we use "Y - Godox DB-02 Cable Adapter" I know the recycle time for speed light will reduce to half which is good, does it mean the number of shots(2300 shots) will also reduce to half?

I purchased the older set with the top portion as well as the new ones are not out yet as a set. I have a question , when I connect to my speed lights do I need AA batteries inside it or can I just use the battery pack and no AA inside it ?

+Sandeep unsure, I’ve never used these to power speedlights. I’d assume you would still need batteries inside.

Hi Robert, i own 4 AD 200 Pro and use them often in Groups of 2. The two V1 i own could be used in combination e.g. as a Rimlight or to color the background. Does the PB960 work with the V1 in order to get a similar recycle time for this flash as I have with my AD200 Pros?

No. The V1, or any Li-on powered Godox speedlight, does not have a port for a PB960 power pack. The battery is already tuned to it's limit for fastest recycle. Any faster would more quickly produce thermal issues.
