Probably the most important game in Fijian rugby history, this was the game they were going to announce themselves as one of the best teams in the world. They must be absolutely gutted. Losing their 10 was the difference.

Fiji are the unpredictable team in this competition. Some of what they do is top drawer world class, then they go to sleep at times. But definitely their games are highly watchable!

Much like selknam in sudamerican rugby for chile (I appreciate it's a significantly lower standard but still) having a professional team is an undeinable benefit for long yerm growth of the game in countries. Fiji imho a tier one nation now. Best game I've ever watched live

As a neutral from Argentina, Fiji got absolutely robbed today. Wales made 4 consecutive penalties and did only get a warning, then Fiji made one and got a yellow card. After in the third try, Wales got warned and they made another penalty, but the play ended in try for Fiji so the ref just let it pass. Absolutely shame, great work to Fiji, you should feel proud of yourself, i was supporting you with all my hearth today and that knock on at the end really made my day worst hahaha.

As a wales fan, you can truly only play to the whistle and wales were the better team for 60 minutes. However I will admit that Fiji were hard done by and very unlucky at the end. They played amazingly! But credit to wales for their defence as well. I think rugby is the true winner, what a game of rugby to watch for a neutral

The best game so far in this tournament. It gave us the passion & intensity from both teams which has been lacking in other high level matchups. It goes to show you that some lower level teams can step up when they finally have a real coach I.e Fiji. Their flare with the sevens game with short bullet passes created some headaches for the Welsh. Liked the commentary with one player being referred to as '130kg's of garbage truck ploughing through the Welsh defence' 😂😅😂. And another Fijian as 'wouldn't be out of place in the UFC!' ... referring to his athletic physique 😮😮😮. What a game, shame there had to be a loser.😢. Remember that Fiji had just given England a hiding only 2 weeks ago, a major wakeup call to England.

To see a hero like him fail at the last moment was absolutely heart-breaking, as he deserves so much for what he brings to the game. I'm just hoping that he can go on and put this behind him. The pass was a hard one to control but he should have had it, lets be honest. We just happen to live in the world where he couldn't gather it and score. Wales won by playing well but they got lucky a number of times, especially in that last knock on. Amazing game and well done to both teams. Fiji are making very strong statements, despite the loss here WE ALL KNOW JUST HOW CLOSE IT WAS. Wales dodged a bullet or two (or three), and they know it.

Yeah with the help of the ref. Wales were given warning after warning through penalties in their own 22 while Fiji was given a yellow card on their first penalty. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Fiji would have win had it not been for the inconsistency of the ref

As a fiji fan..our two worst nightmares as fans came true in that match 1. We had two "Paddy O'Brian moments" i.e the two disallowed tries that would have been tries which could have won us the match 2. And one "Severo Koroduadua moment" i.e. Radradra blundering the potentiallly match winning try. Nevertheless Radradra shouldn't take it too hard on himself..i forgive him for that. My takeaway from this is that Fiji can legitimately compete..its really up to them to work on the flaws they had. Apart from the handling errors, there were a couple of penalties they could have converted via kicks instead of going for line outs. I also found it annoying tho that alot of the times they were close to the try line and had men overlapping out wide, they chose instead to play tight and they ended up losing possession again. Overall very entertaining match..Wales got lucky.. Fiji could do it and they can if they polish up.

Exactly. One good example was when botia ran into the right hand side in the final ten minutes. If he just passed the ball to ravutaumada he Ravutaumada would’ve headed straight for the try line in the corner but instead he decided to run in 😑.

Perhaps it’s because the Welsh are NOT English, and why would ANY ref favour one team over another. I think we had a lucky escape though, Fiji were unlucky not to get the rabbit out of the hat.

And at the center of the bias is the hegemony of British people within World Rugby. It is about a specific type of mentality that effectively prevent rugby to grow as a major sport worldwide.

How many penalties can be given on the try line before the referee gives a penalty try or at least a card. Fiji did it once and got a dubious yellow. Made no sense to me.

It's always hard for us Pacific teams. We just can't seem to get the officials to be fair. I am devastated it was like he felt he made so many mistakes for a referee and tried to justify it by then taking action. He realized the crowd was against him. What a shame world rugby give us island teams a fair go

That’s Tier 1 bias for you. The welsh should’ve been down to 14 after the 3rd infringement on the 5m lime but for reasons known only to himself the ref chose to do nothing. Gutted for Fiji.
