I hope the city is stopped imposing that nonsense. Its well known that the money collected will not be used to benefit the public transportation. The MTA has been provided with plenty of money both from the State and Federal governments and still the state of the public transportation specifically the subway system is a diagrace. So MTA, where is the improvement?

Hochul keeps flip flopping between yes and no. A few months, she was happily saying no to this "congestion toll". NJ should charge toll coming into the state for non-residents; holland, GW, Lincoln. Very easy to implement with an EZ pass partnership and their plate readers.

Nj currently pays $16 toll at holland, gw, & Lincoln - this would be in addition to for anyone coming in under 60th which will make gw even worse w ppl trying to avoid tolls at midtown

The MTA needs to be audited and its books opened. The agency collects millions in revenue each day and yet somehow they are always in the hole. If you think the recent overtime scandal now plaguing the NYPD is an issue, wait until you see what the MTA has got in store for you. The agency is too big, needs to be broken up, and the revenue collected per service should remain within that service or department (subways, buses, bridges, etc). As opposed to being syphoned off to be used for other state related financial shortcomings. People go wild when it comes to spending other people's monies.

The tolls on all the bridges were supposed to discourage people driving into the city, that’s what I was told 20 years ago. Even though the MTA will never be run efficiently enough to keep tolls the same price. Screw the MYA, perfect opportunity to bankrupt the MTA and go with private transportation
