Just watched your latest. What a great job you do in describing and identifying so many mushrooms! I've been doing this since I was at Evergreen back in the 70s (and yes I know those guys) but never cease to keep learning more. We just gathered some big hedgehogs yesterday down here on the south coast of Oregon where we live. Damn near tropical lately! I've always overlooked the winter chanterelle but will be going out in the next few days to see what we can find. Thanks for what you do!

Thanks for identifying all of these mushrooms. I went out to Banner Forest on Friday and was able to gather a good amount of Yellow Feet. It was my first time trying these mushrooms, but they were excellent! Sauteed them and had with scrambled eggs and I'm definitely going to search for more...thanks again for these videos 🥰

I ended the shroom season cause i wanted to. Do go out in the woods and find edibles, but do not collect them. Yesterday i was walking some of my places. Tons of Clitocybe nebularis, good amounts of Pleurotus ostreatus and Tricholoma terreum. Paralepista flaccida and Lepista nuda are also present. In other words, if one wants to collect for the table, there are good choices. My location is in North-eastern Bulgaria very close to the shore.

If its gonna be the end of the season, I guess its going with a bang lol Last week I harvested the most oysters ever in my life. Of course, zero gear so it was a full hat and jacket lol I could have easily filled a couple 5 gallon buckets off a couple trees. Had a nice stir fry and still filled the dehydrator 1 1/2 times :) Should have added, wasn't even when I was walking the woods or White River. It was smack in the middle of the Frisbee golf course lol

I love the local mushroom ID groups I've found on Facebook. Really the main reason I even look at Facebook! The tightly moderated ones are FANTASTIC for learning and people post for IDs all the time. I recommend sticking to the ones that require good photos to ID and who boot people for lazy (potentially dangerous) commenting.

Do you think removing edible mushrooms from the woods could have a negative impact in terms of the food source being removed for whatever animals might eat them, and the nutrients being removed from the system?
@godvonheaven29689 ай бұрын
18:46 is something around Clavulina coralloides. At least, that's what I would say here in Europe. The Clavulinas grow late in the autumn and are often parasitised by Helminthosphaeria clavariarum, that's the blackening.
