I love Last Of The Summer Wine.Like Kathy I am an Anglican Christian(Church Of Ireland) and it is good to see a successful actor/actress who kept their Christian faith all through their life and never appeared in any shows that the whole family couldn't watch. Same goes for Dame Thora Hird and perhaps some of the other stars who appeared in Last Of The Summer Wine. I'm glad the curtain over the window was wasn't as wrinkly as Nora Batty's stockings.😄😄😄 God truly blessed us by giving us Kathy Staff.

Bill Compo Owen, has been appearing in films since the nineteen forties/ fifties some comedy, some drama such as The Girl Who Couldn't Quite, where he played a tramp, he even appeared in thrillers like The Boat That Died Of Shame, he played the engineer which started Richard Attenborough and George Baker, about three ex World War two sailors who turn to smuggling in post war England,

@@adrianbradley8513 yes it was Carry On Sergeant, starring William Hartnell, as the Sergeant, and Bill Owen as his Corporal, it also had Bob Monkhouse, in his only Carry On film as a man conscripted on his wedding day, Bill, made a lot of films some he only had a guest appearance in, like the 1 that co starred a pre James Bond Sean Connery On The Fiddle, I've got all the Carry Ons on DVD boxset except that Columbus one, which is a dreadful film, he also had cameos in What Ever Happened To The Likely Lads, I forgot to mention Bill, was also in Carry On Nurse as a bed ridden patient he had bit parts in Regardless and Cabby,

If Kathy Staff had lived in the 30s & 40s she would have made a GREAT foil for Laurel & Hardy, the Marx Bros., WC Fields, the 3 Stooges and Abbot & Costello. (I could see Nora Batty giving Moe, Larry n Curly the ol' Tripple Slap!)
