I've been behind on your videos. This morning I got up way eariler than normal. Now, I'm behind. Because I sat here and drank three cups of coffee watching your last four videos that I missed. Your kids are SO lucky. They KNOW that all your food doesn't come from a grocery store. They will all know how to grow it. GREAT JOB mom and dad!!!

Ben, the peppers are yummm if you slit them, clean out the seeds, insert cheese or cream cheese or both, wrap with bacon, insert toothpicks to hold bacon on and put on a perforated baking sheet and place on the grill for 15-20 minutes or until it looks done to you. You can also put on a baking sheet in a 350F oven for about 20 minutes. Oh so good!

My favorite pepper for chile rellenos is poblano. I wanted to take a savory dish to a family brunch, so I sandwiched my stuffed roasted battered peppers in a square baking dish, and poured in the last of the batter, topped it with more cheese, and baked it until golden. I might have put a little baking powder in the batter to get some puffiness. When my son was tucking into it for a second serving, he kept asking what I put in the "casserole." His dad always made rellenos with anaheim chiles and they just don't have the rich flavor of the poblanos. My garlic is in the fridge patiently waiting for me to get past a work deadline so I can spend a morning leisurely putting them in the earth. I have two poblanos still on a plant in the garden, and after watching this video I think they are going to end up battered and fried instead of marinade for machaca meat.

Loved your chile rellenos. I've always done the egg white method which is super messy. Liked your cornmeal one and will have to try that. It seems a lot easier. Have you guys ever tried mixing the cheeses with some mashed potatoes? My recipe calls for that and I've made them with and without the potatoes. The mashed potatoes helps hold the cheeses together and tastes great.

My late husband was frol Moris Chihuahua Mexico. His families made them with Anaheim peppers. So so so good. I roasted mine on a horse grill outside, sweated, peeled, and gutted. Stuffed then with Menonita cheese. Dredged in flour. I then beat my egg whites, added the yolks back slowly , dipped and fried. Mine was crunch and good. Iblove them with my home made mexican rice, and refried beans . Yummmmm

I planted my garlic earlier this week. I ordered way more than my little family can use in one year. I got over excited perusing the catalog and ordered 7 varieties. They are all hard neck varieties I planted elephant garlic for the first time. I plan to make garlic pesto next year. I’m going to have to find more recipes using garlic. Best of luck with your garlic. We love chili rellano but My poblanos didn’t do well. I wish I had tried it with other peppers. I may have to go out and buy some poblanos as now I’m craving them. Thanks for the hints to cooking them.

Mixed some chicken, cubed, black beans, corn, cream cheese, and topped with sharp cheddar. Baked them. They were super yummy. I cannot wait to try ya'lls recipe. Looks amazing. I wonder if you can make homemade enchilada sauce out of these? I will have a bunch to pick when the first frost threatens here in W KY. We are dipping into the 42 degree range at night, but no frost just yet.

Over the weekend when I had time, I got cleaned up the garden bed, pulled the weeds, and added the straw. The other night I finally got mine planted.
