This is the final part of a series of videos I never uploaded. A customer asked me to recap his B&O loudspeakers after he had replaced the surrounds that had disinterested. Unfortunately one speaker was very slightly out of alignment and was resulting in a rubbing voice coil. This makes a rasping noise whenever the bass unit is in motion.
His original plan was to remove the surround again and re glue a new one, hopefully in the correct position. But there was then a risk of further damage to the unit when the glue was removed.
This repair/ hack/ bodge is only done by me as a last resort. The customer was also advised of this tactic being "risky".
