LAST Wishlist Plant Haul 2022 + What To Expect in 2023 | December Houseplant Haul | Final Wishlist🌿

Well, guys that's it! 2022 is over and we welcome 2023 as a brand new year full of planty potential. I was super excited to do this video for you all and show off not the LAST plant I bought in 2022, but I go into my wishlist I made back in January of last year and do a final tally of the plants I bought.
The plant I got in December was probably the BIGGEST plant I've bought all year - and definitely a good one to cap off a great year of plant hauls. While I was out plant shopping and pondering the plant isles of Home Depot, I spotted my December plant and you won't believe the deal I found at a big box store!
But before all that I'm going to deep dive into what this year will look like for this channel in 2023. I have lots of goals I want to accomplish and will be making some changes, too. My houseplant hauls will look a little different in 2023, but will still be fun and full of plants - just maybe not as frequent as past years.

Many thanks for this video! Good food for thought. I like the unbraided look of your Dragon Tree, so pretty. I think of this plant as a classic plant that always takes your decor to.the next level, 0:00 classic and elegant. Beautiful plant. I’ve got one too. I got it from a neighbor who moved from Oregon to Oklahoma and there was no room in her car or the uhaul. I said I’d take it. I put it on my back patio. Watered it, but it was a hot summer and it died back and I cut it off at the base. Ignored it and then I noticed it was growing and soon I had three stalks but they are very short at this point. It’s beautiful. Looks better than it did when my friend had it

On New Year’s Eve I got the cutest ponytail palm I’ve ever seen in my life. It has so many ponytails and is the cutest plant I own. I just had to get it. I’m so proud of that purchase.

My last plant was a little rescue begonia. It’s a very pretty silver with dark pink stems. Already pushing out some new leaves.

My last plant was an anthurium villenaorum x pulcachense, there was a bit of an anthurium kick at the end there. I like your idea and may do that myself, one in , one out , I have a few I'm also meh about now, esp if its something I have trouble with. I already have said to myself if it dies, thats it , not trying another of those. And right now I only have 2 on my wishlist- a ficus shivereana and variegated heartleaf philodendron for 2023, that is it, to concentrate on the rest and see how it goes. Congrats on the dragon tree , they are super easy and look nice , that one looks very healthy despite the over water situation., they were a couple of my only plants until it became a hobby, they get more love now lol, maybe 10 yrs, started so small but larger like that now, a good statement plant..... oh fyi , ecuagenera also has the pallidiflorum and they were not expensive , 25 US I think , and a good size - under budget to boot with the queen at 60, .... love it so much

That’s how I’ve been too. If it dies it dies ✌️ I love your wishlist plants too, I hope you’re able to get them this year! Yeah I’ve seen them on there and I think that’s were I’ll buy one. Although I’ve now heard that they don’t ship well so I might wait out on some plant shows this year to snag one. 🌿👏😊

I recommend being cautious when getting an anthurium waroqueanum shipped. I heard they ship TERRIBLY and are super hard to rehab after shipping! Getting that anthurium in person is definitely the way to go!

For 2022 I got rid of half of my collection and only purchased my super top wishlist plants: monstera Albo, Thai and queen anthurium. I ended up spending less on plants! LOL go figure

I actually like the idea of fewer plant hauls. Not everyone has the money, so it can be off-putting. I buy a f-ton of plants, and I do sometimes. But I I bought my albo cutting for $65 off mercari. While the leaf isn't crazy variegated, the stem has a lot of white in it, so the genetics are there. Your wishlist looks a lot like mine. Plants that aren't on your wl, alocasia frydek, cissus discolor, dischidia ovata and hoya lineraris.
