Hi, Amanda! My Brazils are growing fast. Almost like pothos. They really like to trail. Many of my plants live inside now due to the harsh afternoon sun. Aloha! 🪴 😊

I love the authentic Amanda. I think its normal to get overwhelmed, especially by the things that bring us joy because it takes energy to nurture. We plant lovers love our plants but I dint know about you but my obsession caused me to over collect,so when other areas of my life needed my attention, I found myself juggling out out of control😅. Funny now but whew, what a tight rope act that was untill I found some plants dying off because Id forgotten to water a plant baby. (Since not evry plant has the same watering neeeds its a commmon mishap. we have make some adjustments here and there in order to have a sense of balance. Taking moments away from it all and downsizing was a smart moveI too have downsized and have found relief by taking mental breaks as needed from my plants , my job my children ect.as long as.you do it responsibly, it's all good in the neighborhood.😊

I have my collection for more than 10 years. Light is very important! I have orchids, and air plants like orchid lights (I use day light LEDs of different lumens.) Lights set for 12/12. Soaking is a KEY! You showed it right way! I use dish drying mat to dry plants. When they completely dry I stack them on my manzanita tree. No any kind of attacments. Plants are free! Air movement is important too, big deal! Many air plants will continue to leave after blooming and will grow pups! I keep pups together, they grow and survive better. Little ones can die easily if separated. I separating them when they are big. Some air plants are hardy and can tolerate low humidity (surprize for me!). Winter humidity in my house can reach unhealthy 23%. Oddly I found out that low humidity is better! Plants are drying faster, not rotting, just need some misting. I got that salon fine mist bottle, very fine mist doesn't have droplets, good for orchids too! Xerographica is amazing plant, still alive after 10 years, two pups! Stramineyas all died😢, absolutely love stricta's blooms! Thank you for your video!

I use to use your method but stopped when I realized it didn't actually do anything but hide the mold that still grew under the cinnamon. I have not tried removing all the mold first though. I use to stir the mold into the top soil till it was not visible anymore and then I would apply the cinnamon. I'll give your method a try next time and let you know how it goes.

I have several bags of Fox Farm soil I bought locally. They loaded it in my car and I brought it home. 15 bags to be exact and the store stored them outside. Started unloading them from my car and realized they were twice as heavy as normal. I even had a 1 inch puddle of water on the floor IN MY CAR. I called the store and they apologized. I then asked them if the soil was going to be ok to use after getting this saturated. They said it should be fine. I then called Fox Farm and asked them and they too said it should be ok. Well they were both wrong and I mean WRONG. Opened up the first bag and the entire outside shell of the soil was blanketed with green fungus type mold. I threw away the green fungus shell and tried to use the center that looked ok. Sadly when I did my transplant the top soil grew the white mold seen in this video. It happened within 2 days of using the soil. They had plenty of air flow, light and drainage. Lessen here is do not buy soil stored outside.

If you put them on something like a basket and they attach will it hurt their roots to pull them off to water them.

Side note for anyone. Be careful when you let roots attach to the wall, it can ruin your wall ( they can go right into thr dry wall)

I honestly really like your decorate with plants mindset. That is exactly how I feel. I really don’t understand how people manage 200-300 plants and stay sane. I had maybe 20-25 plants, became pregnant and I couldn’t tolerate the smell of soil so 98% died. I recently started acquiring new ones because I really enjoyed plant care. I think if any hobby becomes overwhelming, it’s no longer a hobby. I enjoy your decor and would love to even see those sorts of videos 🤗

I have one for several years flowered and produced seedlings. I would dunk my entire plant 15 minutes in diluted 20-20-20 fertilizer. Never had any problem. 🙋🏼‍♀️🪴🌿 It does get a lot of ventilation and dries any water within the layers.

Amanda: Great to see you back! Hope to see more videos again. Due to the extreme heat and drought here, I slowly moved most of my plants indoors. 🪴 I hope to see some nursery or big box center this year. In the meantime, working with my existing plants propagating and helping them thrive. Plant chores were getting too much also! Take care, God bless! Aloha!

I’ve gone months without water them before n wasn’t sure if they were dead until one just shriveled up idk why just that one did but now I’m caring for the one that survived and these other ones I got from a conservatory n I wanna grow more learn how to care for them better

There is a mistake here! The prayer plants colled like that due to another reason. Exactly to care routine. All you need to do is watering, feeding ,provide a good soil and pray they not die the same day you buy it.

I really wish more people would be honest about mental health We are all human and have to live our life as best we can. I look forward to your travel/ plant store videos, any plant hauls and yes the styling of plants.I look forward to using the discount code in your shop. Thanks again and be well. ❤

Wow! It isn’t just me! I almost killed mine. I’ve been struggling with it for years. My last ditch effort was to water propagate it and now it is SO HEALTHY. I’m afraid to put it in soil. I’ve never seen such thick roots on any other plant I’ve water propagated.

I added cinnamon and it seem to proliferate the small amount of mold because it made it harder for top soil to dry, it was thick. I scraped all of that off and place near a window with plenty of natural light but not direct sun, then I turned on my dehumidifier for 50%. To help the soil dry out. There is no exact science to cinnamon on plants and some say you have to have a specific cinnamon. I say go to your garden store or florist and get a spray if the natural light and dehumidifier don't work.
