I watched this video with great interest. Just a remark: the Zeltbahn you show in the video had a different camouflaged pattern from the one used on the Fallschirmjaeger's smock. The Zeltbahn pattern could be found on tents and , winter paddled clothes and jackets, and on some light smocks used by sharpshooters of the Heer. But to my knowledge not on paratroopers smocks. The only exception was for the marsh pattern, which had blurred edges and dominant green patches with smaller patches of brown on a yellow beige background.

Exactly, LW splinter pattern is slightly different than WH splinter pattern. However colours and general "idea" is the same.

Hi Dave, I really enjoy your videos and technique with acrylics. I've been in a long hiatus with the hobby for quite a while, actually since the Andrea and Vallejo acrylics start becoming popular way back. Still have all my tools, brushes, unbuilt kits, etc. ...I keep procrastinating to get going again. Really love the benefits of the acrylic paints to the hobby. Just out of curiosity I was wondering have you ever dabbled with artist oils for hi-lighting and shading over an acrylic or enamel base? Anyway, thank you for the great video, I look forward to part 2

Ralph, I never use oils when painting figures but do use them when I am weathering armor models!
