CBN's contribution for growth of Hyderabad is nothing compared to the leaders that followed, nor was he the first one to bring IT into the city. Rajiv Gandhi, N Janardhan Reddy were the ones who started construction of Hitec City in 1992, even before CBN became a CM. All CBN did was steal credit for others work, and allocate huge lands for his friends like Ramoji Rao, and tons of others in Jubilee Hills/Banjara hills. CBN was last in power in Hyd in 2004, back then the last neighbourhood in west of Hyderabad was Hitec City. Since then Hyderabad has changed so much in 20 years, it's not even recognizable, and none of the things you associate with Hyderabad (wide roads, proper maintenance, friendly police, quick construction of Flyovers & underpasses, good traffic management, quick action by GHMC etc). are even remotely associated with him. Since 2004, both YSR and KCR did a lot of improvements to Hyd. You can clearly see, it's Nehru ORR, Rajiv Gandhi Airport, Rajiv Gandhi stadium, PV Narsimha Rao express way, etc. etc. Even when there was practically no CM for 4 years after YSR, big companies like Amazon setup huge footprints in the City. KCR only improved it with service infra, improving Police friendliness, eased taxation for welcoming investments. By 2004, CBN had been in power for 9 years in Hyd. He's currently in power in Amravathi, and by 2029, it will have been 10 years there which is more than Hyd. Let's see by 2029 if Amravathi is anywhere close to Hyderabad by then.

According to many recent global surveys Bangalore is the fastest growing city in Asia and other cities like Surat, Ahmedabad are on the list. Hyderabads largest strength has to be its pharmaceutical industry but they are other allied industries like Bangalore too where you have other industries like aerospace, machine tools, garments etc. Hyderabad still doesn't have an established start-up ecosystem like Bangalore which has most of the unicorns in the country.
