I know this is 8 months later, but really i actually think you may be onto something. John is one of very few who covers the stories in such a clear cut, and human way. John covers stories that during the beginning, and even now when covid for many is at its worst, fell to the sidelines. Having such an informative, and simultaneously relievingly lighthearted(at points) form of media to see these stories from, works well to preserve them as something relevant historically speaking. If i were a historian going over this era in time, i would probably use the well sourced and all around well informed segments Last Week Tonight has put out through 2020 and now 2021
