On the rewatch, while being older, I weirdly appreciate the dynamic between Spleen and Bowler. He signals interest. She makes it very clear there is absolutely zero attraction on her part. But she isn't rude about it, she doesn't drag it out, just no. And he just accepts it, continues on, doesn't try to argue or make a scene. This feels like a very healthy example of rejection, which is rare to see in movies especially nowadays, and I feel has hurt a lot of peoples' perception on how to approach it from both sides.

Kitty Pryde is still visible, but I get your point, he's like a combination of intangible/invisible. Another great, short comedy series is FAWLTY TOWERS. No superheroes, but because it also has a tiny amount of episodes I always imagined that the two series could be watched intertwined so that the different styles of humor could be cooperatively palate cleansers, as humor becomes less funny if you get used to it.
