Late Spring Reading Vlog - the reading slump is over!

Thankfully, my reading and audiobook slump has finally gone away! This vlog covers the end of May and most of June. I've been busier than usual with my family, Little League and the end of school, but happy to share some wildlife around the farm and some books I've been enjoying. :)

I'm Farrah from bookstalgic and I have rediscovered my love of reading again in my 40s. I try to find any time I can to squeeze in my love of reading into my busy life of work and family. :). I love talking lots of walks in nature to try to appreciate all that I can each day.

I got stung by a bumble bee last year and it was the first time I had gotten stung in YEARS. They aren’t usually that aggressive, but that one stung both me and my daughter so it was mad about something! Hope you have a nice weekend and week ahead as well 🩷

I was literally in the country on the farm cranking up the volume on my phone thinking I couldn't hear you. Birds were getting louder and it turns out it was the video. I thought I was gonna get surrounded and chased off by some feathered friends. Prisoner of Azkaban is my 2nd favorite HP book and movie too. Sirius Black is one of my favorite characters from the series.

@@bookstalgic I would love to rewatch TOS but we don't have Netflix and the blu rays way too expensive, so I lucked out and found books at my local thrift store. Have also been rewatching movies from both Original Star Trek and TNG. Thrift store yesterday almost picked up 2 Star Wars books, has been ages since I read them. May be next trip if they are still there.

man, it feels like just a couple of videos ago you were all bundled up and now its boiling hot haha. The movies didnt really do Harry Potter justice, i made my peace with that 5 years ago and learned to enjoy them on their own but they pissed me off for decades lol. I've only read a couple of star wars books but really enjoyed them, i think bloodline was my favorite because i'm a Princess Leia truther

@@grace_silva yeah, it really wasn’t that long ago that we had our last snowstorm lol. I know what you mean about the movies, and I sort of wish I had read the books 1st. Same with the Lord of the rings series. I still think that Hermione was the true heroine in all of these books when it comes down to it! I had only read one other Star Wars book (it was Princess Leia too haha) a while ago, and that is really the only one I’ve read as well besides these new ones that I just started reading! I’m happy to be back in that world ✨😄
