This project took us a while to complete! The latter part of nearly 4 years. Brandon Williams, an employee of LMR, just so happen to stumble across a black 2.3L 4-cylinder Fox Mustang at his friend's salvage yard. Talk about right place, right time! The car was just days away from being crushed. Over the past few years, we (LMR) helped Brandon get this car back to driver quality. The focus was to spend our time, not our money. I know what you're thinking; time is money. Well, in this sense it's a little different. We wanted to "hustle" this one with our sweat equity because there are those of us out there that may not be in a position to spend a whole bunch of money. Enjoy the video! -Landan

One of the mustangs I had was an 87 hatch with a 4 banger. It was a dog. Got 16 mpg and did I think around 60mph in the quarter mile. When I bought an 89 with a 5.0 it got 20mpg. Both were 5 speeds. The 4banger I would break the clutch cable all the time. It would barely break the wheel in gravel. Yes I said wheel. Only would spin 1 wheel

I know you’re talking about engine swapping it, but you should definitely try putting some power at the 2.3 to see what kind of numbers you could get. Not many people build out the 2.3. Or you could do an ecoboost swap! It’s already been done, but hasn’t been over done like all of the V8’s

1:23:12 what are you using to polish the glass?
@latemodelrestoration6 күн бұрын
0000 steel wool and Meguiars 205. Old combo that's easy and does a good job of adding brightness and clarity. You could also get a dedicated glass polishing system. These systems have specific glass polishes and pads that can be applied by hand or a machine (rotary or d/a). -Landan

@latemodelrestoration8 күн бұрын
I think you meant to comment on the other video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZuUlGutmt6Wo7c Yes, we could use a Volvo power steering pump. However, the k-member won't allow for a power rack even with offset rack bushings. We also didn't want to raise the engine since it already sits high. -Landan
