A very good friend of mine works as drum tech for wasp among other bands, im a big wasp fan and he knows that, so every time they play somewhere near my city i get guest list to the show, one night we were also with blair and duda for some drinks and talked about music , and favorite musicians and favorite albums and they shared some cool stories . It was one of the best nights of my life .

First time I saw them was in Gothenburg Sweden 15 November 1986 (looking at my concert ticket from that day...I still have it!) when they were the opening act for Iron Maiden. Great fun and great memories! 👍

Another awesome tutorial video Dave !! And I only just today noticed something in your videos, above your “ Late Night Lessons” sign on your wall to your right , you put up a framed picture of the group name !! Today it was W.A.S.P. A week or so back it was SAXON , etc. I usually am engrossed in your playing and watching your hands to gain your sharing on chords & picking & never really looked much at your room decor 😆. Thanks again as always for all you share 😎👍

Thanks so much for showing this.. I always love the wasps.. I almost poop my pants when you showed how to play "Sleeping in the fire".. One of my all time faves.. I was so hoping that you would take it one step further. Wasp has an acoustic version of Sleeping in the fire. You can find it on KZbin. On the acoustic version, about 10 seconds into the song there is a second guitar that comes in and is played for about 20 seconds and leads right into the start of the vocals. I always loved that part. I searched youtube and the entire internet and could not find the tabs or someone that shows how to play that part.. If you (or anyone else) has an idea how I can find out how to play that part.. Let me know.. I would be very grateful to anyone that can help..

Very nice. I loved WASP, esp those first two albums. I really loved that first album and feel it is quite underrated. They aren't the most complex songs but man... solid collection for a first album. I think their rhythm stuff was excellent. I'd almost say that WASP along with Queensryche and Fates Warning were probably the most 'me' bands circa 1985 -1990. I was a metalhead through and through but my main band in the 9th and 10th grade was a punk band. We did a couple metal songs that were comically punked up a bit. We were definitely more hardcore than the Toy Dolls, but think in the Toy Dolls ballpark. We did Hellion in that style.

When playing Animal I Fuck Like A Beast, during the 2nd half, after the alternating F# and G dyads, the power chord is a D (5th fret A, 7th fret D strings) NOT an A dyad (7th fret A, 7th fret D) Source: The studio recording

You didnt totally get all of that intro 2 Sleeping In The Fire correct. Im not musically trained but my ears have yet to fail me. Listen to that intro riff again and when you go back to the beginning that 1st chord shape changes for the last couple of notes before the riff repeats again.
