Trump literally admitted he fired Comey to stop the investigation. That it continued anyway doesn't prove there wasn't obstruction, it just proves his attempt to obstruct was unsuccessful. Kind of like how you still get in trouble if you try to murder someone but fail to do it. It's still a crime to try to do something even if you're an idiot and fail.

This is factually true on both accounts. He did state that quote. And the world is laughing at us for Trump. Hands down, no question. I've heard this from around the world again and again and I meet lots of people, from every country with even a mild amount of English fluency as a second language. (Well, just as often, they express their sympathy and support for us while we have to endure Trump, but that's kind of the same sentiment.) They almost all say Obama was universally one of the most well liked and respected figures in the world. It's damn near unanimous. Hell, Michelle Obama hasn't been in office for what, 3 years, and she was just voted the No. 1 Most Admired Woman in the world. Search the news, I think this just came out within the past 7 days.
