He literally IS! He's like, "I'm just SO HAPPY to be here!" Tina Fey said he's like a light bulb that's just suspended in the air, with no cord even attached and Jimmy said every time Don Pardough said my name, I was like, "Don Pardough knows my name!

My depression life hack is to wear stretchy plain black pants and a band tshirt as pyjamas, but I can wear them in public without looking too weird. That way, I don't even have to get dressed if I have to leave the house.

I agree with you! I know the comedians prefer a love audience, but when I was a kid, most of the shows we watched were with just a host and crew. Ray Rayner and Garfield Goose and Friends were my favorites. (Dating myself...your parents probably watched those shows☺). Thanks for sharing.

I actually LOVE hearing her laugh at his jokes....it is SO DAMN CUTE....when the joke is bad I love it even more because no matter what she thinks he is hilarious. They are so CUTE together!

In Panama kids were lining up around the block to buy these on the 7th when they were released (j Balvin Air Jordans). It was all over the news because they weren't social distancing. It's funny to see Jimmy wearing them.

I get people have different sensibilities when it comes to comedy but I’ve always found Jimmy to be just so charming and naturally funny. He’s just a different kind of humor than others but he’s just as valid. I just adore his positive vibes, it makes me really happy.

I don't watch Fallon, because I think he is a little "too much" with his adoration for HIS guests. However, I really enjoyed him as a guest and the riffing between him and Seth was magical. I truly enjoyed this segment!

I wonder if anyone has ever looked at Jimmy from the lens of hyper masculinity. When Ellen is happy-go-lucky on her show we chalk it up to her glowing personality and the need for entertainment. When Jimmy does the same, we call it fake. Men don't have to be stoic and nihilistic all the time.

I think the fact that they produce so much widely consumed content attests to them being anything but fake. Let go of that negativity guys. And why does everything need to be reduced to a gender issue? There's a lot of good discourse on that going on, but this isn't it. Probably very few commenters here can claim similar success to those two in any realm.

I loved jimmy in his previous gig and since his tonight show i dont feel he's that funny. Unsubbed even. Then youtube algorithm suggested one of his recent monologues and i went 'omg old jimmy's back!' I enjoy him way more like this. Especially when he's a bit darker, like when he regulaŕy 'fought' one of his writer during sketches :D

I watched a few of his episodes when he first came back to the studio and those shows were amazing because they were so awkward and they felt like a show you’d watch at 3am. I really dug the more casual, accidentally-experimental vibe.

Because hosting for most of the time is acting and everything is staged, scripted and edited. His true, mellow self would probably not even be considered in an entertainment industry in the first place all those years ago. He could probably get away with it now tho! And I don’t think he’s mellow... Mellow would be Mathew McConaughey. I think Jimmy is awkward and energetic which is adorable.

To be fair: Kramer's 'Merv Griffin' set was a show, inside a show about nothing. That show 'about nothing' had a live studio audience. That's so crazy! I think I just blew my mind!

@@blackbird5634 I believe the cassette played the lead in and lead out music of the show. ( "bumpers" that are used before and after commercials to allow for network time differences back in the 'Merv Days' often consisted of a live band )

This was such an amazing interview! I watch them both every night (along with Colbert and Kimmel) and I have to say Seth with his friends/ old coworkers is the absolute best. And I might like Jimmy Fallon more as a guest. He’s a great host but sometimes I think the adoration and desire to be in sync with his guests can be off putting. This interview did allow me to appreciate him even more, he’s just a chill dude that tries to make the people he’s around laugh and be comfortable. These late night hosts (and SNL) have been my favorite thing about 2020.

That’s what I’m thinking...2/3 in pajamas/lounge dress, robes ,1/3 in sweat or comfy pants. Lol!! Just ordered robes for family and friends, slippers and leggings today!! I live in NYC. It’s cold, gets dark early = pajamas, etc.

Injured myself getting ready for a marathon and 50k trail run 😂 But, I really like to freestyle dance. I appreciate so much about life. I’ve been learning guitar during this covid thing..on my dad’s old 1950’s era Martin guitar! People like you make this world a little brighter! Thank you for the comment. Hope you are blessed 💫

Honestly, I only watch Seth Meyers' clips for the SNL reunions. I watch the other stuff too but these are the clips I really get excited for. If you're a loner like me there's something so uplifting about watching friends have fun together

Exactly .. I'm always both amazed and exhausted by those kind of super high energy guests that just come in sit down and then talk for 15 minutes without breathing once until the host manages to get the "product x is available now, guest y everybody!" in .. same with Will Smith

@Patrick White no, the laughter seems fake when he hosts, plus Jimmy always talks over his guests. A guest can talk over a host, but a host should never talk over a guest. But what’s really weird, is Jimmy doesn’t even talk over Seth here. He also seems to try and finish peoples sentences when he hosts. There’s just so much cringe.

Jimmy Fallon's a pandemic hero. His at-home show was the best, he was first back. Before the pandemic, he was my least favorite night-time host. Now he's my favorite! (Sorry Seth!)

Both of their shows were better in some respects when they did them at home, in my opinion. I loved the family participation. Celebrities seemed more relaxed and genuine at home, and I enjoyed their families, too.

I watched the tv version of Seth with Jimmy Fallon. After that scene, they did a Shtick. I loved it!!!! I had to laugh out loud. It was very, very well done. Seth looks bored by it but he shouldn’t have been, I loved it!! I hope they do more Shticks again!

Fallon says "um", "uh", and "y'know" more than a 6th grader making up a speech about astrophysics on the fly. Good dude, though. the pandemic's mellowed him a little bit, and it really brings out his charisma.

Funny how Corona brought the best out of Jimmy Fallon. he was allowed to do things the way he wanted to, for the first time in awhile. More personal and real with everything. He even looks a bit like his younger self now as well. Good for him
