His father bought him the gun used in the attack and this was after the fbi had investigated and spoken to his parents of previous threats he made and parents let the fbi know he did not have access to their weapons but they still went and bought him a weapon. Thankfully, the father is being charged too for buying his son the weapon despite knowing what his son wanted to do with it.

Same. All of the news stations keep talking about Barrow as a close-knit community and it is. I graduated from Apalachee in 2015, and the majority of the kids who walked across the stage with me at graduation also walked through the doors of Yargo Elementary for our first day of Pre-K.

I cant imagine how much worse it would have been if they hadn't responded so fast! For him to be able to kill 4 people and shoot 9 others in that short amount of time what would have happened if they had even been 10 mins later. This is a real police force. The situation in Texas wouldn't have been so bad if the cops had responded like this. Too many babies are losing their lives!

i, as a student, shouldn't be scared to go to school. i shouldnt be scared of today being my last day. i shouldnt be making up escape plans for every class i enter. i shouldnt be wondering if i'll make it home alive today. i shouldnt be thinking about what if i get shot while playing volleyball with my friends. i shouldnt be even writing this. i shouldnt be even thinking about this. i should be studying, playing sports, enjoying my youth. on a casual wednesday, everyone in that highschool shouldve gone home safely to their families, like how i was able to. im only 12, i shouldnt be worrying about this stuff, no one should, but here we are; because our country cares more about firearms then childrens safety. i wonder if there will ever be a world where i can, everyone can, go to school and not worry about loosing their life. maybe in another life or universe people will care about our lives more. but that'll never happen, because why? because this world is messed up, we care more about making laws banning phones instead of banning firearms. i, as a a student, should not have been making multiple essays about why we should ban guns at the ripe age of 9. at 9, i shouldve been writing about a show i like, or a cool science topic i learned about. i, as a kid, as a student, as a youth in this fucked up country, should not have to be worried about any of this. but here we are. us, as students, should not have to worry about these issues, but here we are. i hope everyone who has gone through this is okay, my heart goes out to all the families who have been affected.

Questioned year before started this school 2 days but spousably he was bullied. I am glad this kid didn't know much about this school or could been ways worse.Devstating as is.After first threat and investigation I feel should equal yr minum monitored by cps also. And mandatory councling and homechecks if achild is investigated for threats crimes like this. Expicaly with his moms crime history spousably bad childhood being locked out while mom was on drugs as kid. Should equaled cps involed mandatory therapy even going into dads custody ands dad's custody should been imvesgated before this ever happend also

If I was a teacher instead of letting things unfold , I would’ve pressed the button exactly at 9:45 am like seriously.
