Thank You for this. I had my 1st Amiga back in the late 80s when I was 13, before that I had the Commodore 64 and Commodore Vic 20. Ive only just found out about Emulation and tried this Yesterday. It works great Thanks. I was playing games till 2am lastnight lol.

Thanks for this video. I usually use FS-UAE running in arcade mode for my amiga emulation on PC, as it’s a nice frontend and not too tricky to configure, but I was looking for something else that was essentially an all in one package with all the best games and demos included, and this is basically it. I wanted to run it full screen rather than having the borders down either side, and have managed it now with advice from someone in another comment I posted on here. Your video has been helpful and much appreciated. Keep up the good work. I’ve subbed 👍🏻

One question only: does it have optimization for games, so to not be limited anymore by amiga hardware? For example, like what AmigaLive does with Stunt Car Racer or other games where Amiga could NOT reach enough fps?

@@JustJamie1983 It's quite smiliar but works well with MiSTer, Analogue Pocket (it has an extra version for that) and also in emulators. It comes as a couple of harddisk images so there's no simple installer for it.

It is running off WinUAE which is the best Amiga emulation around. I have a new Amiga Setup coming in the next hour so wait until that one releases and see what you think

Might be a silly question, but is there any way to make it true full screen in the WinUAE settings, to remove the black borders on the left and right hand side of the window? I've played around with all the display settings in UAE and can't seem to manage it.

The borders are there because you are using a 16:9 LCD monitor. If you use an old 4:3 LCD or 4:3 CRT there won't be any black borders. There is another option to stretch it to fill the screen but on a modern LCD it will be too wide and looks really bad so don't use that setting. Having the correct 4:3 aspect ratio with black borders is fine. I suppose you can use a hacksaw and cut the black areas off the LCD monitor but I'm sure the LCD monitor will not appreciate that ^_^

@@g4z-kb7ct Ok thanks for your reply. I presumed it was something to do with a 4:3 image on a 16:9 monitor, but wasn’t 100% sure. I probably won’t take a hacksaw to it, just to be on the safe side! 😊 I have the image stretched to true full screen when I use FS-UAE and to be honest I think it looks ok. I’d like to be able to try it AGS too but still can’t find a way of doing it though. You mention there is a way of doing it, could you let me know how just so I can take a look and see what it’s like? If it’s bad like you say I can just revert the setting. Thanks.

@@Stevieboy74 AGS is just a frontend. Just use whatever you have now. Running it with AGS won't change anything in the game. Run it in a window 800x600 and it will look correct. To have the correct Amiga experience they must run 4:3, not stretched.

@@g4z-kb7ctI understand that AGS is just a frontend, but all I’m asking is if there is a setting in UAE (which is the emulator running on the backend) that will stretch the image to true full screen so I can see what it looks like. This can be done in FS-UAE which also uses UAE at the backend, so I’m assuming it can be done here as well. I completely appreciate that it won’t give the true Amiga experience and will probably look funny, but I just want to see it, and can revert it back when I’m done, that’s all I’m asking. If it isn’t possible or the setting doesn’t exist in UAE then cool, no worries.

@@Stevieboy74 in winuae in the properties/settings go to host then display. at the top under SCREEN select full screen 800x600 (or whatever resolution you want) then under that in SETTINGS select Fullscreen to see 4:3 with black border or Full Window to see it stretched to the maximum size of the 16:9 panel. that same display section is where all the related output settings are so just play with them if you need something different.

@@JustJamie1983 U did but I dunno why my AGS didnt save the configuration anyway. But somehow it functions now and the music in AGS was annoying could turn it off at the end. It doesnt start anymore again.

Amigavision is purely about output preservation which focuses more on how games look through say, CRT monitors.

It runs on emulators, real hardware, FPGA, etc. We also help develop the AGS2 launcher that Amiga Game Selector uses (so confusing that they named it something so similar to the Arcade Game Selector launcher). Give it a try, we’d love to hear what you think about it!
