I think that Robert Pattinson's Batman in the Matt Reeves trilogy could be early days Batman with him facing grounded realistic villains and then becomes the DCU Batman who face fantastical bombastic villains. I think a lot of the confusion is due to people mistranslating the conversation and some misleading wording from clickbait articles. By the time Muschietti said he hadn't spoken to Gunn the topic of conversation had already moved from Brave And The Bold to Superman, the interviewer asked him if he had seen the movie and he responds that no, and that he hadn't spoken to Gunn since they began filming either, which clearly means he hasn't spoken to Gunn ABOUT SUPERMAN, not that he hasn't had any contact with him, that would be impossible if he just said a few phrases back they were still discussing the topic and tone.

I think the problem you and others are ignoring when it comes to trying to making Battinson the DCU Batman is his age for 1. His version is only in his 2nd year I believe, and the Brave and the Bold is telling the story of an aged Batman with Damian, meaning he’s already had D. Grayson, Tim Drake, AND Jason Todd. 2nd of all, he just doesn’t have the physique for the DCU Batman, if we’re going off of the glimpse we got of him in Creature Commandos. 3rd of all, giving the glimpse of the world Gunn is building in Superman with heroes already existing, that version of Gotham just doesn’t seem to fit aesthetically in this world.

The whole point of this new universe is that it’s starting from scratch with James Gunn’s vision. That’s why they left the DCEU behind and even got rid of Henry Cavill so they could have full creative vision. The one thing about everyone who is against Battinson joining the DCU doesn't understand is that if the merger does happen, the plot of Brave And The Bold wouldn't be moving forward. The Batman Part II isn't having a timeskip where suddenly Damian exists, it would simply continue as it is but now under the DCU. Gunn and Reeves will obviously find ways to make the two universes coexist, but it will unfortunately come at the cost of Brave And The Bold.

Except for Ezra Miller, I liked The Flash. It was a better Justice League movie than the Joss Whedon one, it had a fun tone that I thought was more fitting for DC than the Snyder movies, but my favorite thing about it was Michael Keaton's Batman: for one thing because Michael Keaton has always been my favorite Batman and because him in this movie was the perfect Batman for a Justice League team with his Arkham fighting style and sci-fi gadgets. I'm one of those people who is fine with doing different Batman movies. Sony screwed themselves not doing Spider Man 4 and Amazing Spider Man 3 and those were movies people wanted. I think that this is a case of 'wait and see' if The Batman 2 is good, and if it makes sense to make the switch, then Robert will be our DCU Batman. Matt Reeves hinted at that last part himself. I get they want to start far from an origin story and into an established universe but I think they went a little too far down Batman’s life. I think he should be roughly the same age as Superman. I love Damian but I would have liked to see a classic Batman and Robin story first, where Bruce has been Batman for a few years and then a second movie with the Jason Todd story line, Finally a Damian Wayne movie where we had a chance to meet other teen titan characters like Wally but having had enough time to see Barry in a few movies first.

Just putting this out there, don’t know if anyone cares, but having two different Batman universes out there, at the same time SEPARATE, is a TERRIBLE idea in my opinion, Why, because not everyone in the world is like us, or like 3C films, they are not comic book superfans like us, they are not educated in stuff like this, I bet more than 50 percent of people who pay money to watch a superhero movie, don’t even know how James Gunn is, I come from Hispanic culture and my family, don’t know who James Gunn or Robert Patterson is, I’m not calling them stupid I would just say that they have a life and more important things to worry about and more important things to know, there is a reason why Marvel has NEVER done two different characters at the same time, because it is not wise, nor is it cool, My dad lives in Puerto Rico and he loves Deadpool, he has watched all the Deadpool movies, and he has enjoyed them, but the crazy thing is he doesn’t know who Ryan Reynolds is, it’s not because his stupid, it’s just because he has more important things to do with his time than to focus on movie lore, and outside of that movie lore. When people go to a theater to watch a movie especially a fun action filled superheroe movie, they just want to be entertained, and left wanting more movies with those characters. Why make it confusing for the general audiences?

Why would they wait 2 YEARS to release the DCU Batman? Lol. They could do it in 9 months and I guarantee that everything would be fine, and the general audience will understand. Especially if he has a small cameo in the Clayface movie that starts shooting soon. There were 3 different Spidermen in the SAME movie and it made a fuck load of money. I'm sick of hearing the GA won't get it. The vast majority of people are not stupid. Especially if they do some kind of press event when they cast the DCU Batman and fully explain the situation in detail. Two Batmen can absolutely work. For all the people who love a realistic take on the character, will be happy with Reeves Batman. For the fans who want a more fantastical Batman, they win too with the DCU Batman. You know who else wins, DC Studios! They get all the money from both versions. They could care less if we argue all day on X about which one is better. They'll get money from both. Cause the VAST majority of Batman fans will go see both anyway. For sure, lol. I know I will. Let's say that The Batman Part 2 releases on October 1st, 2026, and then the Brave And The Bold releases at the end of July 2027. That's a 9 month gap or something like that, we'll be in a whole new year. I think it would work perfect. But that's just my opinion.

I like your videos a lot and I agree Pattinson is a fantastic Batman but I don’t want him in the DCU. I support Muchetti all the way although I also like the idea of turning DCU Batman into a DC show because we could have so many stories and a lot of cool characters and we wouldn’t have to wait as long for this story because I don’t like the wait very much but I’m excited about the possibility of two different Batman actors and while I can appreciate the people who want Pattinson to be everywhere in DC, I just don’t like that vision and I ultimately see more benefits in the double approach that outweighs the other version from my point of view. I trust you even though I don’t always agree with you because I love your channel.

If Warner is smart, they would make Pattinson the DCU Batman and give Reeves 100% creative control over all things Batman within the DCU. I honestly do not think it’s a good idea to roll with Brave and the Bold i.e dual Batmen. Reeves’ universe is teeming with potential and has plenty of room for the fantastical; it’s literally and figuratively a live action version of Batman: The Animated Series.

3:30 that's where I believe people need to stop worrying. General audiences are always dumb, especially if they are not comic book fans. If they don't understand it, let them be confused. I believe most people in the superhero movie space have already begun to understand the basic concept of the multiverse thanks to Spider-Man and the Flash movie. It'll begin to make sense the more these two iterations go on their own separate paths and it'll become more clear which Batman is the DCU Batman. That's honestly a minor issue that most people need to put behind them. The failure of the DCEU wasn't because of the multiverse or having two Batman in The Flash, but because the audiences have already abandoned that franchise long ago simply due to movies that weren't so great. Just because I'm a fan in something in pop culture doesn't mean I have a god given moral obligation to become an educator and waste my breath talking to someone who doesn't understand my hobbies or interests. When I went to see Sonic 3 in theaters, the friend I was with only went because he'll watch anything with Jim Carrey in it. He's not a Sonic fan and he couldn't understand why all the Sonic characters were changing from bad guys to good guys. Instead of rambling about my knowledge of the Sonic games to him, I just told him that this was very common that happened in the games and to just start playing all the Sonic games whenever he can. As a good friend I wasn't going to shame him for not understanding or not liking something I loved. That's just not what people in general should do.

How can Andy confirm Robert isn't the dcu batman when he also said that he hasn't spoken to James Gunn since he started filming superman which was almost a year ago!? So this means he wasn't updated on the status of the project while both James Gunn and Matt Reeves have had recent discussions lately with one another. So Andy is probably lying and doesn't know what his current situation is with the brave and the bold so......in other words he may be fired in favor of keeping Robert as the main dcu batman and his character will be written into the dcu which would also explain the delay for the batman part 2. Also I think that if Robert does become the main dcu batman than Damian will be scrapped for a while and instead we'll have dick grayson as Robin (maybe Jason todd) and it'll build up the bat family from there while having Robert's batman grow from grounded to fantastical like his comic book counterpart.

I don't think Muschietti is going to direct this Batman film. Won't be surprised if they cancel it all together. The fact that he hasn't spoken to Gunn about the movie since before filming Superman is telling. It's clear that Gunn and WB prioritize Reeves' Batman. I think we'll find out their direction with Batman after Superman releases. WB most likely wants total focus on Superman and not to be overshadowed by Batsy.

Honestly, what needs to happen, the DCU has felt like it was smooth sailing till these comments. James Gunn needs to get him on the phone and talk to him, cuz it's this confusing, not everything is figured out shit that got the DCEU in trouble. And its like, first and foremost, James Gunn is the co CEO of DC, he's gotta basically get Muschietti set straight here lol. Because this is just conflicting and he's almost making things more complicated than it needs to be.
