The idea of the old lasers' visual appearance was that it was an array of lenses to focus the beam, increasing accuracy in lieu of a longer barrel on a cannon. Hmm, small thing really, but maybe put a glass dome on top of the bridge section where you stand most of the time to watch the combat? So many times you've nearly been hit in the face, just a tiny bit of protection that doesn't massive block your view may help prevent what feels like it's going to be inevitable. Or I suppose the eventual headshot could end up being the end of this adventure run, would be amusing too.

Have you ever heard of the "Arms Fort Stigro"? From the "Armored Core: For Answer" game? It is literally a (laser) ram ship the size of a city block, with missiles.

Some remarks: - can you set the AP vs Damage for each laser barrel seperately? If so, maybe you could make it so that only 1 laser has really high AP - to get through armor blocks. The other ones could focus more on raw damage then - as the main components can be seperated from the turret, that realy makes the turrets a lot more disposeable overall. Meaning less effort to armor those is needed - a continuos beam weapon tends to benefit from some inprecision. The issue is that the precision really punches through the enemy rather quickly, with a lot of damage landing in the ocean behind the target. If it was a bit less precise, the damage would be slightly more spread before a punch-through happens. - hydrofoils and ramming are inherently at odds. Your prow is all about having the maximum contact surface with the enemy. But right now it aims above the water line, so the enemy will be pushed under the ship quickly. If you put the Hydrofoils way closer tot he front, their angular shape might force ships into the prow. Kinda scraping them "out of the ocean and into the maw"
