This video Is a little scattered as It was recorded over the span of several weeks so there are quite a few moments of "I'm going to do X!" Only for past Lathrix to ignore that then do something completely different. Even more scattered than usual! I apologise for how late this video Is, almost two months since the last! Sadly life has been very rough the last two months for a horrible number of reasons but I am so happy to say things are looking better, not great but better. Where people often go wrong, especially early on, is creating too much diffusion. Too many LAMS firing pieces for the amount of sustained power input. Less is more. Fewer actual LAMS firing pieces means the power to each is less diffuse, more concentrated, and thus each shot has more focused power to immediately dispatch the incoming missile. The *only* reason to ever have more than one LAMS firing piece covering a single side is for redundancy, in case one is destroyed, but if you want them all to fire, you need to have faster recharge (energy weapon damage is always a percentage of full capacity, so if you can only sustain 50% of full capacity, you only get 50% of the power in each shot).

Recommendation for new playthroughs. Heat upon heat: HEAT rounds with fire damage Stargazer: Deep sub diving with some sort of penetrating shot pointing up (Railguns, partical cannons, etc.) Defenses are allowed. Release the kraken!: Make a deep submarine craft with a upward facing lamprey like maw of a ring (4-8 spinners) melee spinner blocks, tons of weight, and tentacles (harpoons) galore. Drag down as many ships as possible (anti torpedo defense allowed). DONE---You my fire when ready: Have some sort of laser setup that will punch through a vehicle as quickly as possible. The sky is falling: Mass missles/cannons/cram from orbit. All da dakka!: small cannons/projectile fire that overwhelms the enemy You can't touch me: have a main weapon encased by a rotating drone/follower/shell? unit that encases you in armor, which you automatically repair. Catch me if you can: Make a high agility vehicle with a high DPS burst weapon.

From The Depths and the Adventure series are things I wish to see continued in the future! Very glad to have had this video to make the last two hours of the workweek pass a bit faster. If you're still looking for ideas for challenge/themed runs, I think it'd be fun to see a kinetic only run. Perhaps cutting out particle cannons and rams, using only solid projectiles and thumper missiles. Especially if you can work in a bunch of the shard cannons that are definitely not Suspendium cannons and some of the 60mm auto cannons for old times' sake.

You've been missed Lathrix, but thanks for the updates and concerns about the gap. IRL needs to take priority, especially when it's difficult times. No negativity gathered over the stint away, just a lot of concern about your well-being and oodles of positive thoughts in your family's direction. Of course there's going to be a broken mess in the continuity when it's over several weeks, it just added an extra flair to the cuts and decisions made. With the discussion monologs preserved, it's an very interesting glimpse into the many shifts over a theme someone can have in FTD, just magnificent to watch! But this particular nugget was so core Lathrix it's a Lathland staple, form over function unless they coalesce into a glorious whole as they usually do here on the Lathland channel! Lathrix: Pulse lasers are better than continuous lasers... Also Lathrix: I'm going with continuous, even though pulse is better, because of looks... Me: Wondering if pulse with small bursts would be the edge Lathrix would have needed in that final fight... We'll never know, unless Lathrix makes a new attempt testing only pulse lasers, and having a long range/short range on the same laser core setup, switching depending on range. Do I want more FTD? A resounding yes! Do I want more like this from other games? Also a resounding yes! Do I want new content on the expense of Lathrix's health and sanity? Heck, no! Nothing on KZbin is worth loosing people over, that includes without a doubt a treasure like Lathrix and the Lathland channel! Give us life signs whenever you're able, produce content when you're in a good place, but primarily take care and stay safe Lathrix! Best wishes to you and your extended family, please prioritize your surroundings and hope everything goes as good as it can.

Loved the video, something that might be interesting is a Conquest run but every craft you use has to use a weird weapon type for what it is. E.g. Planes: particle cannons Airships: plasma cannons ships: missiles (not the weirdest thing, but missiles are cool and didn't want them on anything else) submarines: flamethrowers Spacecraft: CRAM cannons

Those From The Depths challenge runs is a series I grown to love and wish to see more of. Speaking of, there's a couple challenge ideas I have on my mind. 1 - Twin Craft challenge. You have two (maybe three) crafts that have contrasting, yet similar designs and completely different purposes in battle. Defending Blue Shield and attacking Red Sword or physical cannons+rockets and energy weapons+EMP(+fire?) or a DNA spiral or anything else you can imagine. Point is, there must be some play between two crafts and both must be pretty equal and alive. If one dies, it is a loss automatically. 2 - Pancake challenge. You cannot exceed certain, rather small, size in either height, width or thickness. It's rather simple, but I really want to see the struggle with size limitations and the destruction that the Pancake of Death will cause. 3 - Pacifist/Stealth challenge - You have to avoid killing any crafts. Resource zones will provide materials for upgrades and non-lethal disarming is allowed. Craft could be called Snake if you wish. 4 - Scrapper challenge - I think that was suggested long time ago by someone else. Basically, you try and capture as many crafts as you can. You can choose between either taking a part of it and assimilating it in your ship or keep recovered craft to fight. Those crafts must NOT be repaired (or rather limited repairs) and kept as is to a certain degree. This way you essentially become a floating ghostyard of various crafts. 5 - City challenge - its a goofy one and shouldn't be taken seriously. You try and build something that visually resembles a swimming/flying city, movement is low and each building is dedicated to different things. Electro stations generate power, etc. I suppose it's mostly about defending and AMS'es as you can't rely on movement almost at all. Wow, I might have gone overboard. Hopefully you'll like any of those ideas

That's a thing exclusive to lasers , their beams follow the lenses? and can go from hull through the subobject base and into the combiner on subobject . For every other weapon you do need to build on the subobject
