That's looks like something I won't be doing anytime soon! Talk about time consuming!

There has to be a safer way to mechanically remove grout than a diamond blade on a grinder.. ? I notice even in this pro-made demo video, the worker cut into the tile at 1:15 on the left side. This floor is going to be a total mess if keep that up.

Here is a helpful document which will detail a few different ways to remove epoxy grout: cdn.laticrete.com/~/media/support-and-downloads/technical-datasheets/tds111 As this doc points out; although the mechanical removal method is fast, great care must be taken to avoid damage to tile surface and edges. Use small circular or right angle saws with diamond cutting blades equipped with dustless vacuum systems. The vacuum system will minimize the amount of airborne dust. This system can be used in occupied structures. Proper re-grouting depth is approximately ½ the depth of the existing joints.

@@laticrete Yes, totally agree, much skill and care. Not sure a grinder is the best tool for most, certainly need ‘two’ steady hands, and blade could be tilted away a few degrees to protect the top of the tile. There are easier saws to handle and many with vacuum attachments.
